Kwiatkosk outplayed him last year.

Jaylon Johnson didn't look good out there, but he gets some slack since it was his first game.

Khalil Mack was invisible.

Felt like a loss. Maybe it will get better but all that win did was make their draft situation worse next spring.

Johnson did plenty of good. He almost had an int at the goal line but still stopped the reception to cause a fg. Jackson got credit for causing the fuller int but it was johnson who made the play. There was some
Bad as well as you would expect of a rookie in his first start

It didn't look like Johnson made the play on the Fuller interception to me. Nevertheless, I agree that Johnson improved as the game wore on. I liked the pick when the Bears made it and I think he's going to be a very good player. He moves well on the field, plays with a lot of physicality, and seems to have an excellent head for the game.

It’s the Lions for sure. But there was a lot of good out there. The running game was consistently productive, and Nagy stayed committed to it for much of the game. The Bears moved the ball. They would have scored
more if the receivers caught the balls that hit their hands. Mitch was a bit slow getting rid of the ball, but he generally made the right reads. He had his usual selection of inaccurate throws.

The defense was good early, but the drives at the end of both halves and first one out of halftime were poor.

The team didn’t quit. I feel much worse if I am a Lions fan today as their big drop was the game clincher.

Johnson definitely made the play on the Fuller interception.

I just wasn't prepared to watch people run by Trevathan all day like he was wearing cement cleats. Including the play that should have been the game winning TD pass.

I'm glad Galladay was out. With little to no pass rush, he may have gone off.

I noticed that Trevathan looked finished as well. He was never great in coverage but yesterday he wasn't within 10 feet of his duty. He simply cannot be out there in passing downs in the future. Where is Iyebuniwe?

I didn't notice Trevathan in run d either.

Really, no one stood out on D. Fuller had a pretty decent game. The backup outside LB actually showed some as well.

Here is the play. The tv just assumes it was jackson. I see nothing clear as both players were there. Even if Jackson was the one who got the hand on it, Johnson was breaking up that pass on a key 3rd down where they were likely targeting him.

They had a package in the second half with Deon Bush in, and Trevathan out.

On the game winning pass that was dropped, he didn't even read the route until the guy ran past him.

The final angle they show--which I somehow missed when I was watching the game--actually makes it clear that the ball bounces off of Johnson's shoulder/tricep. But he wasn't trying to make a play on the ball, as he had his head turned away from it. Rather, he just happened to get hit by a slightly errant pass.
