It's crazy how much he's fallen off since 2018. He looks like he's lost some explosiveness and a little flexibility--he's not dipping as much as he used to, at least as far as I can tell.

They looked like a 4-win team to me.

I think you can make the case they start the season 3-1 or 4-0. Look at the next 3 games. Giants, Colts, and Falcons. I bet they start 3-1 and then collapse with Mitch getting pulled around week 10. It's such a waste keeping him in though.

That 1st game in a Bears uniform was how he routinely looked for Oakland. That's what made it so tough to stomach for me. All kidding aside about the trade, it sucks that he no longer seems dominant.

Bears would have been better off losing this game.

This win will set them back about 4 games.

The sooner we get to the Foles Era, the better, as far as I am concerned.

Olin and Anthony Herron on the post game show complaining that Nagy isn't rolling Mitch out more. It's groundhog day.

Johnson looked pretty good for his 1st game. No catches for Kmet but Olin said he was active out there and you can tell he loves playing.

I mean the one thing he is really good at is throwing and diagnosing plays on the run.

Nagy wants him to be Watson or Mahomes.

Mitch is not in that class.

I know what you are saying, but that throw to Miller for the TD was world class.

And with Hopkins gone, Watson will come back to the average this year.

The rookie DB had a couple nice break ups mixed in with a few mistakes too.. he looks good tho imo. I think he’ll grow into the spot over time, looks like a good pick.

The TE (Kmet) wasn’t involved directly enough to say either way so.. tbd. Jimmy Graham looked ok tho and I think the rookie will be given some good direction on how to play the position at a high level from him.

I’m not going to be like dickhead Bernstein and pretend I watch the line rather than the ball. I will say that the line looked remarkably competent and I did notice Kmet a few times contributing. This means he did more blocking than in one game than the collective te group did all year

Mitch wasn't good. Mitch was lucky.
He ran up against a team that cannot hold a 4th quarter lead over the last three years. The secondary was 3rd string and inexperienced. A team with a decent secondary picks him twice in the first quarter.
What should concern you is the Bears defense. One sack for a team thats supposed to specialize in quarterback pressure? Stafford looked mighty comfortable for a team with Hicks and Mack chasing him around. Really, the Bears lost that game if not for that dropped ball that should have been a Detroit touchdown with 5 seconds left. In all other alternate universes, the Bears are 0-1 and you all want blood.
Put this Bears team against any other team in this league and they lose by two touchdowns. Only Detroit being Detroit saved them.

I'm sorry, Mr. GoldenJet. Perhaps my heartbreak in Superbowl 41 and a couple years ago againat the Eagles left me jaded. I'm having trust issues with Mr. Nagy since he's arrived. Plus, I do not like his hair.

There were some outlets that had the Lions winning the division before yesterday.

Patricia has lost his first three openers in disappointing fashion but seems to bounce back for a few games afterwards. I'd take a long look at the Lions next week with Golloday, Okudah, etc. returning if I were a gambling man.

Any team other than the Lions or Browns would have had a victory well wrapped up by the middle of the fourth quarter yesterday. Credit the Bears for making plays when they needed to on both sides of the ball. With no preseason and no real true full padded practice, its kinda tough to take anything from week one an d draw it out over the entire season.

The Bears still look like a 7-8 win team. NFL hell. Not bad enough to get a top draft pick, but not good enough to play past Wild Card Weekend should they somehow sneak into playing January football.

If you're counting on Graham for directions for his replacement, you haven't been paying attention to his being shown the door by his three previous teams.

Funny thing is that Pace was there to see him traded by New Orleans...for a center.

Yeah the Lions were getting some run nationally for some reason even with the news that Okudah was struggling in camp. I didn't get it. The Broncos and Chargers were too and they look like 6 win teams to me.
