Ifedi looked particularly good yesterday. I also think the TE Harris/Kmet both had an impact.

The line also only gave up one sack (which, incidentally, was preventable with a semi intelligent QB).

What did Kmet actually do yesterday? Most successful runs i saw were between tackles. And he was targeted once and either he ran the wrong route entirely or Mitchell missed him by 10 yards. Granted, with Mitchell, its hard to tell which is which.

At halftime they were calling for (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky to be benched and they were questioning why the Bears were running the ball in the 2nd half. It looks like Nagy outsmarted them all.

Good for them. I was only half watching, but I guess that they compiled efficiently.

Took away the RPO decision making from Mitch, he almost always made the wrong read last year and would screw up the mesh point which threw off the timing of the plays, they put him under center and let the OL and RB attack the line rather than trying to hold blocks while Mitch made the wrong read. TE's also appear to be at least willing blockers now that the embarrassingly ineffective tandem of Burton and Shaheen are elsewhere, hard to find a less physical starting TE than Burton and a less fundamentally sound blocker than Shaheen. This was only the first game against one of the worst defenses in the NFL, will see how they do against a more talented/physical front seven.

I know the Giants sacked Mitch 4 times but it really looked like dull eyed Mitch ran into the pressure each time where a more aware QB could have slid into open space
