there are some miserable fuck fans out there

I hope next week we have the opportunity to complain about what a soft 3-0 record they have.

They will be 2-2 in 2 weeks. This team should be 0-2 except for being blessed by having opposing WR's drop game winning touchdowns when wide open in the endzone on the final drive.

Dallas started that way last season, finished 8-8 & never beat a winning team iirc.

Then complain about it when it happens.

I think they have an excellent chance of beating the Falcons.

Neither team is worth a damn. And I despise Atlanta.

It's hard to feel good about this team given the quarterback and head coach. Both are incompetent halfwits.

You can't choose your schedule, but if you could, you'd have chosen these two dog food teams to start the season against.
Bears are 2-0. They easily could be 0-2.

Yeah, Nagy's play calling yesterday left much to be desired.

And zone defenses give Mitch the deer in headlights look almost every time.

Mitch should be benched. It's clear he's not the guy. Nagy wanted Foles because he could excel in the Bears system. Now it's time to put up or shut up. Start Foles and let's find out if it really was Mitch who was the sole problem or not. Nagy's reluctance to start Foles is curious.

We're not miserable. We're reveling in the glory of the Chicago White Sox, my friend.

It is one of the most unimpressive 2-0 starts I've ever seen. They started 3-0 under Trestman.

You have to be like God, with immeasureable love. Sox love doesn't dissipate 2-0 Bears love.

Would not the score been 24-6 if not for the bullshit call on Eddie Jackson's pick 6?

and 31-6 if not for Miller dropping a pass Mitch put right on his hands.

sticking with 7-9 once all is said and done.
the back half off the schedule is much more difficult on the first half.

But yes....the Bears are 2-0 to start. Yay.

MANY ifs and buts have been said about this team for years now. Cutler's career was IF IF IF

The refs even admitted they blew the call on Jackson. That's a bit different than a physical error committed by Miller as those happen all the time during the game on both sides.

So should we count the Detroit game as a loss, then, since their receiver dropped the winning TD pass that Stafford put right on his hands?

Looks like the Bears are 1-1!

Man, that was such a fun start to a season, too. Beat a very good Bengals team in week 1. Scored a last second TD to beat Minnesota the next week. Then absolutely pasted Pit on SNF.

With respect to this year, the Bears probably aren't all that good. They did beat two objectively bad teams. Same time, who cares? Teams that start 2-0, more often than not, make the playoffs. Plus, the Vikings might be really bad. We'll find out a lot about the Bears next Sunday. Atl's offense is legit. Curious to see if the Bears can keep up with them.

Douchen Muhammad, they are 2-0. This is the 2-0 thread. That's the reality. Everyone else explaining it away are the IF people.

to once again enlighten some, there were outlets (and not just in Detroit) who were predicting the Lions to win the division before the season

Now they are bad after losing to two 2-0 teams

Some people might have been predicting a Detroit division win, but Vegas had their win total at around 7 all offseason. To me that indicates a team that's probably going to be mediocre. Couple that with the fact that they're currently 25th in overall DVOA & went 3-12-1 last year and, yes, I would say they're an objectively bad team.

You would at least think he would have spun the tires on Foles after Mitch threw the second pick because for most of the second half Mitch reverted back to the level of play he has exhibited his entire career, Mitch is a known commodity at this point. The only think that makes sense is that Foles is not ready physically/mentally to play NFL QB due to the lack of training camp/offseason. Someone in the organization, and can only think it's Nagy, seems afraid to let Foles, who is a competent NFL QB, run the offense.

The more likely answer is that (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky is a better quarterback, and they traded a 4th round draft pick to get a guy worse than the guy they wanted to replace.

Foles has had one good year in his entire career and that was 7 years ago. He lost a qb competition this year that he should have had a major advantage in winning.

So we basically are in NFL hell, we know what we have, and the current group is likely not good enough to win a championship...so do you keep on with a .500 team, maybe a playoff berth every now an then, or blow it up and start over with new GM, coach, and trade off vet assets?
