I gotta feeling Spiegel will get it. That was my first thought when Mac was fired. It makes sense. They were partners for a year or so. And Spiegel is still at the station. So just slide back into to full time host.

Leila will get it if she has a smudge of talent. Spiegal is good in small doses only and no one else at the score is unique enough to bring in ratings.

Aren't they locked in to hiring a woman, a POC, or a woman who is a POC in order to back up the SJW tone of the station? Hiring another white male, whether he has worked at the station before or not, seems like it would be...problematic.

They should hire Brittney Payton. She deserves a break after what she had to endure earlier in the year and it would check several boxes -- woman, POC, and daughter of a Bears' legend.

I want them to hire the person that is most qualified and knowledgeable enough to talk about Chicago and some national sports.

I was joking about hiring her. Whenever I have seen her on TV she sounds stilted, like when they let a H.S. kid who wants to work in broadcasting do the sports.

No. You can't hire Brittney Payton at the SCORE. She is was she is. This little cute 80 pound lady that just wants to be a cutie and girly on the air. And have people know she's the daughter of Walter. That's it. She doesn't know sports. Nor does she want to.

If you're gonna do the women hire at the SCORE out of pressure, it's Leila. She does know sports. And she doesn't want to be the "Girly" type for her public image. Like I've said before, I don't mind her voice. That voice might actually help her on sports radio. Instead of it being the soft girly voice.

Good Dolphin once said it, the Payton kids are in Chicago media for the sole reason of being Walter's kids. That's it. They get to be famous for being Walter's kids. Jarred doesn't know much about sports. And it's not like he's a great looking guy to be on TV. Which he is on TV. I"ve seen him doing WGN 9 broadcasts. He's stiff and awkward. At least Brittney is pretty. So that justifies why she gets to be on TV.

Parkins and Spiegel was excellent before it was broken up. Great chemistry and the right blend of silliness and serious sports talk. I have listened to Leila in small doses and it wasn’t anything that special. I am not going to apologize over stating that my desires in listening to sports talk radio is to hear a couple guys talking sports and the other nonsense in their lives. I would give Parkins and Leila a chance but I doubt their pairing would produce the type of daily, companion-style talk show that I have always preferred.

If you put a tribesman with a woman with a middle eastern background you instantaneously become the most SJW show in all of radio, all of the virtue signalers would be forced to listen to make sure they maintain status within the group, not just sayin' I'm just sayin'.
