(Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky just never solved his inaccuracy problem. An average quarterback hits that player in stride for a touchdown and looks like they had a pretty good first half. He missed yet again. I think that was the reason he got benched more than the actual interception he threw.

Foles was just flipping the ball into the air and praying. It worked though so hopefully it continues.

Nope, it's pretty clear (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky is a dumbass. Nagy confirmed as much when - after eight months of "reading coverages" school - Nagy admitted he failed the course. The reason Mitch can't hit WRs is a combination of his inaccuracy and his inabilty to diagnose coverages.

I'm willing to accept that. We'll see if Nagy is worth your faith with what he does with Nick Foles then. Should be an exciting season to see Nick Foles succeed in the Nagy offense.

I'm not endorsing Nagy. I'm saying (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky was too terrible for us to understand if Nagy is good or not. With (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky out of the way, increased third down conversions and better yards per catch mean the problem was on entirely on (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky. If things stay stagnant there then (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky is still a problem but so is possibly the scheme.

Agreed the one thing you cant learn is accuracy. If i was a scout that would be my first priority. Natural ability to throw where you want it to go.

Definitely. I watched a video with mike leach talking about how he decided what QBs to recruit and accuracy was at top of his list. Other things are nice, but accuracy is most important

The thing that truly amazed me is how dumb the falcons were in the 4th quarter. After the bears got it to 26-23 and kicked off to them with 4:15 left they had those three passing plays which gave the bears the ball back with like 3:50 left in the game.

Wasn't Mitch drafted due to his accuracy?

Maybe accuracy can't be taught, but it looks like Nagy has figured out a way to teach inaccuracy. Go Bears!

I remember Parkins - when he was still backing Mitch - saying that "we know Mitch is accurate. He showed that in college."

Nagy is blaming (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky. We will see if Foles is different.

so...all we need now is for Foles to get hurt so the Bears lose and bunch of games and Ryan Pace can fuck up the next Bears QB of the future draft pick.

He's gonna get hurt, too. He took some big-time hits against Atl, including one that was eerily similar to his last injury with Jax. I don't trust this Bears pass protection.

Pace will be fired after the season.

If that's the case, I see a major season ticket turnover for 2021.
You may be right, as the Bears gotta be the Bears, but Pace's resume is pretty horrific.

Foles is better, but he won't start the remaining games. We'll get at least 2 more Mitch starts.

I dunno if I'd be willing to make that bet. There's almost no way he gets fired if he makes the playoffs, right? At 3-0, I'd guess they make the playoffs at this point abt 50 pct of the time you simulate this full season. Of that other 50 percent, I'd say he gets fired 2/3 of the time. So whatever that is...67 pct. chance he doesn't get fired, imo. He's still done enough right in the McCaskeys' eyes to warrant getting one more year, especially because it means they'd probably have to fire Nagy, too. Nah, we'll get the whole gang back next year.

(Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky saved Pace's job by leading the Bears to a 3-0 start.

Heard a fun stat yesterday. No team has come back from two 15+ point 4th Quarter deficits before in one season. The Bears have managed to do it twice in 3 weeks..

That's assuming the Bears make the playoffs....that's hardly a foregone conclusion at this point.

It's more likely the miss the playoffs and has been said all along, Pace's career hinges on Mitchell being a successful pick. That is clearly not looking to be the case.

A 3-0 start, with an extra wild card spot this year, puts the Bears at something like 80%+ of making the playoffs this year. Even 6-7 almost locks them in.

Pace would probably never trade Mitch because it would be admitting failure. Ironically, getting some draft picks for the team and some cash saved for the McCaskey’s could save his job.

I’m watching the LAC yesterday, and rookie Herbert is lighting it up. This is what Mitch was supposed to look like. He will never look like that.

It would be dumb to trade (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky now given Foles' injury history.

Thinking this over and I go up and back. Obviously they would be placing a heavy burden on Foles not to get hurt. However, if someone is stupid enough to give a 1 or 2 (as the story implies) for Mitch, I think that is a move you have to make. Go back and get Fitzmagic for a 6.

Nobody is going to be that stupid and desperate so its moot. Cowboys aren't throwing away a top 45 pick as they sit 2-5. They could very well lose the rest of their games.

Depends if you really think they are going to contend this year. I personally would take some draft picks, because this team is getting old.

And if Foles gets hurt, Mitch isn’t taking you to the Super Bowl anyway.

Mitch is likely going to be non-tendered anyway or given a bare minimum contract as a backup so if you can get any picks for him now, do it.

Not getting anything higher than a 5th or 6th rounder for him. Not worth it really.

You wouldn't think so, but 7-9 might win that division easily. I'm not so sure I would be surprised to see a 6-10 (or the Iggles at 6-9-1) team take the title.

I wouldn't be in a hurry to get rid of him but for a 3rd round pick then I'll take my chances that Foles suddenly remembers how to play quarterback well.
