Never liked Joniak. Wayne.

To Joniak's credit, he's better than Gary Bender.

Joniak's TD call is one of the worst in the league. When he says "Baaaaarrrrrres" he sounds like a 70's porn actor unloading on his co-stars face.

I used to dislike Joniak, but he's grown on me. Wayne is obviously very good.

Joniak is good except for this "Fade to Black." Bears Win! is just fine. Wayne was my favorite across all the sports radio hosts.

His "growly" voice makes him sound like a teenager trying to sound like what he thinks a grown-up broadcaster sounds like.

For someone who has been doing this for 15+ years, Thayer is not very articulate.

There are also way too many live reads during the broadcast. By comparison, the Packers broadcast on WTMJ is much better.

Wayne turned into a d-bag.

I listened to the Bears on radio without TV for the first time since I can remember as I was driving across the country. Joniak is simply a bad listen if you are not synched with television. It almost seems like he expects you to be watching TV by the lack of information he provides. Every play should be followed immediately by yards gained, then current down and distance. EVERY PLAY. Field position should be announced at least after every first down. He provides none of that so the listener is left wondering what was accomplished and the relative importance of the upcoming play.

He also is very slow to tell the listener whether a ball was thrown, run, dropped, etc. It really is like you get nothing listening to the broadcast. This isn't how it is around the league as Sirius provides not only full games but look ins to red zone moments of every game. The rest of the league doesn't seem to have the same problems.

It's as infuriating as listening in the past to a Farmer broadcast of the Sox, when he wouldn't give counts or score.

Thayer is nothing great either.

I think I'd rather not listen than have to consume what these two are providing.
