Why did Jocketty wait so long? I'd think he could've received a better return if they traded Dunn a month ago. The Reds weren't going anywhere and they weren't going to resign him. Strange. This will certainly help the D'Backs especially since they've lost Orlando Hudson for the year.

does Dunn really help AZ with his defense being so bad? L.A.'s got 'em, I think...

No horses for Dusty. I'm like, so sad for him.

Best part of this trade is for a little while at least, I won't have to hear the constant unsubstantiated Dunn trade rumors all over the place like they've been the last few summers.

AZ sent Dallas Buck to the Reds in the deal. Dallas Buck was a horse in the 2006 College World Series for Oregon State leading to a title, but he was hurt since he was overused. He had Tommy John surgery last year and is starting to pitch again. He is 1-5 this year, but the hope is he returns to throwing in the 90's maybe next season.

Basically Arizona traded some potential for a slugger who's hitting 230.
