I forget who first suggested it here, but there should probably be at least a week or maybe two weeks after the season before the playoffs start.

This could allow for any makeup games to be played. If weather is an issue, they could be played in Detroit so it's indoors and will be at a neutral site because we know the lions aint making the playoffs. They could even play two games in one day [1pm kick and 7pm kick] if need be.
