Why did TB just go for 2 down 11 with 243 left? Being down 9 does not help them there.

They could win with a td and fg.

Strange thing is that before the drive, Brady actually looked fearful.

But now they had to make the two point on the next drive if they had scored. Dumb. Not that it mattered in the end.

i'm glad to see kamara is not "making business decisions" on the field (per tony dungy's comments last season); the game went splendidly. and i didn't expect those big late calls at the end at all. payton may have grown his pair back.

Now if Davenport can start playing at a level to soothe some of the pain of not drafting Lamar Jackson, I'll start feeling confident.

Yeah they need Davenport healthy. Some of their inconsistent DL play would be easily remedied.

I thought Brees looked old last year, he looks 10 years older this year.

He's looked old in the last months of the last three seasons. Watching him try to throw downfield has been painful. It's like watching a kid throw a javelin.

He can't move either, any pressure up the middle and he is done.

Brees was the reason this franchise is relevant and he’s gonna be the reason they aren’t anymore.

Payton is just not a good coach either. When you can’t fix something as simple as 100+ yard penalty games consistently you don’t have your team ready. Sure some of the fouls were ticky tack but they are almost always at the top of the league of defensive pass interference and when you have that rep, you are never going to get the benefit of the doubt.

That said, it was nice to see the Raiders look good on prime time again. It’s just a tragedy they’re not in California anymore.

These arrogant assclowns benched their best receiver because he beat up a scrub. I was leaning towards not watching, but then I heard that the shitstain Bosa likely isn't playing.

I know the salary cap is a "fluid" thing in the NFL, but even then, being like $80 million over the cap with Brees and $40 million over if he retires isn't a minor issue.

The secondary deserves more than a punch in the face. They should be kicked in the balls until they learn how to cover someone without smothering them.

The alleged salary cap is joke.

But then again, so are NFL contracts.

I asked my son who is currently the best NFL player that came from TN. He answered, as I expected he would, Alvin Kamara. Little does he know, humblebragisdman dad has a TN Kamara jersey coming his way for his first college football game this Saturday.

Welp, that's the best Brees has looked in two years on that drive.

That's a really telling statement.

But I'm worried about his traditional winter tail offs. :eye:

Yeah, Packers fans were so pissed a couple of years ago they didn't keep him. None of this conversation anymore.
