Yes the rub is it was Bill Burr doing a slightly toned down bit criticizing a segment of woke culture on shit lib SNL.

Which was broadcast on the network tv channel NBC.

It wasn’t an unedited YouTube clip.

Think SITUATIONALLY.

Im not criticizing him. It's just not his best work.

What do you guys want me to say? It was awesome that he did it on network tv? It was fine.

No. I wasn’t making a commentary.

I thought it was pretty good but he felt a bit muzzled. It’s definitely edgy for SNL monologues but that is a relative scale.

Agreed. He concedes the woke premise in the part that took most of the Twitter backlash.

The month thing is a joke I’ve been making since middle school. The John Wayne thing was a weak way to attack cancel culture. It was altogether ok but the praise seems disproportionate to what I watched.

It was toned down but I imagine probably more edgy than what is usually a SNL monologue.

Think he’s been on Rogan twice. 3 times at most.

Probably but that doesn’t make it any more funny. It seemed a bit disjointed to me; like he knew he had to connect together multiple bits in 6 minutes and it lost all sense of flow or the feel of spontaneity. It was ok but nowhere near his best performance.

it was weird. other comedians dont do that. it seemed like he mailed it in. nothing original, when he writes new stuff all the time. hes known best for at least appearing off the cuff... but it came off painfully scripted in that opening.

For someone who should have a fuckton of material because of not performing live since DEADLY COVID it was recycled stuff he's gone over MANY times.

I would think the last place you would want to work out the kinks in new material would be on network TV.

I realized it was Columbus day today but was corrected by 2 ***** women it's Indigenous peoples' day. when did this change? So no more Columbus day parades for the rest of time? What are the Italian Americans going to celebrate now?

If they start cancelling stuff how about tell everyone or vote on it.

Shit like this pisses me off.

In about 5-10 years there will be some smaller subset complaining how warlike some indiginous people's were and how they enslaved people as well and that we shouldn't be celebrating them all, only some.
