The reason that Michael OGolnick is not on the other shows, is because eventho he has watched every Bulls Game, his post and pregame analysis is very weak and shows that he has no understanding of the game. MVP was obviously looking for a desperate time filler who would work cheap!

My 2 favorite OG memories:

1. Mike trying to kick over a plant in the lobby after he got his ass fired for missing an update.

2. Whenever they brought in someone new, and that person got the update shift Mike wanted, the OG wouldn't talk to guy for months, but would talk plenty of shit about the guy behind his back. One guy who passed up OG (and there have been plenty) is currently a very successful radio personality in the market. You might hear him do an inning of Cubs baseball from time to time.

Andy Masur was an update guy with Sporting News Radio-might have been One on One Sports at the time. He's definitely climbed up the radio pecking order compared to doing updates every 20 minutes with his work with the Cubs on WGN.
