There are a lot of positives. Their defense is starting to get turnovers and playing great on third down and in the red zone. Pass protection has been solid. The receivers are getting open consistently, and Foles made some nice passes. Special teams is a net positive.

The run game and play calling are problematic. But play calling is tough when you can’t run the ball.

Bears really tried to give this game away with a terrible play call on 3rd and 2 with 90 or so seconds left. Thats super disappointing. I cant excuse that. Patterson in left only 3 options, a play action or bad screen, or what happened which was terrible too. You got to munch seconds. That play was inexcusable.

Lots of bitching about the Bears winning. They're doing it with a good defense that is great in the red zone. They don't have an elite offense, but if they can score 20-24, they are going to win most games with a defense that doesn't allow touchdowns. Pretty simple. Lots of clowns in the media who don't understand this.

I was listening to the Panthers' radio call of the game in the car. They very politely said multiple times that the refs were having a shitty day and that the Panthers were getting more of the bad calls in their favor.

The analyst (some safety who retired a few years ago) also blamed the sequence of 12 men, defensive time out, 12 men on one drive squarely on Pagano.

And needless to say they didn't understand the last 3rd and 2 call by Nagy.

Nah. That's the difference between this year and last year. This year because of Foles you can hit the low 20 range. Trubinsky couldn't do that. Not hitting the low 20s in a handful of games last year was the primary driver of the losing season.
