Stay for his senior year if the New York Jets get the 1st pick?

Some are suggesting this.

I’m all for getting $$$ as soon as possible, but the Jets are a truly hopeless & talentless organization.

there will be another really crappy team with the first pick, so just go with the Jets and enjoy the paycheck.

It could be the Jets again!

Terrible idea.

If anything pull an Eli/Elway and force a trade

I’m not a Cowboys fan by any means, but it would be really fun to watch Lawrence with those weapons.

You’re right tho Big Dub.

It’s a three horse race between NYJ, Wash, and Jags at the moment with Dallas as a dark horse.

This.

There are worse things than being young, rich and single living in New York City.

Pretty sure he had a big engagement to his now fiancée over the summer.

Also, the factors you listed are what MANY think contributed to Darnold’s lack of development.

Outside of the Gase disease.

What's wrong with the Jets that wouldn't be true for most teams picking first in future years? It's not like the Steelers or Patriots are going to be there the year after.

Even the Colts pretty much destroyed Andrew Luck and they were an elite franchise in the years prior to the down year.

Is playing for the Ginas, Redskins, Jags, Falcons or Vikings any better? Maybe the Falcons cause of Julio.

Vikings and Falcons would be good landing spots because there is young and established talent at the skill positions.

Nah the Jets are in complete rebuild mode.

There are better options for Trevor.

Jbi11s bring a good point.
1. Jets - NYC. Rich and living in NYC could be tolerable for 4 years.
2. Washington Football Team - Honestly, I think this would be a worse destination than the Jets.
3. Jacksonville - They won't be terrible forever, but man....do you really want to live in Jacksonville??

Yes, he could Manning his way out of the Jets, but I'd be curious which team will offer the haul to get the pick from the Jets? If I'm the Jets....I'm asking for EVERYTHING. Yes, it would suck to be drafted by the Jets, but there are other horrible franchises out there. After all...Joe Burrow is playing for the fucking Bengals. How's he liking THAT organization!

Burrow has decent to good skill position players.

The offensive line is the major issue in the Nati.

Burrow is all in on Cincinnati.

He’s from Southern Ohio, and his dad was a famous high school coach in the state.

Thanks for asking Brick.

I’m sure you know the answer, as you usually do, but a team who has major injury issues or massively underachieved can still get the number one pick.

It’s rare, but it can happen.

Vikings would be a great spot for him and I would force a trade there.....They always seem to have a great offense..Dome team, you get the shitty Packers defense twice a year, can light up some video game numbers.

That's quite a chance to take to lose out on a year of NFL salary though I'm sure he's doing pretty well financially already.

Rogue is saying if Lawrence wasn't such a bat flipping, BLM supporting, anthem kneeling, arrest Breonna Taylor's killers, Greta Thornburg fan he'd have more compassion for him.

It’s always the scared, threatened white man angle.

Absolutely.

I think everyone in Minnesota is ready for the Kirk Cousins experience to end.

It's crazy, not a single top 10 team would pass on him. If the Chargers had a chance I think they take him despite Herbert.
