I wish she'd sleep longer in the morning, but okay otherwise.

I like them great now that they are both out of the house and (mostly) on their own.

I wish he would get out of college and get a job, my bar bill is much higher with him around.

I have been very fortunate that my wife has turned out 3 great kids. For the most part I try to get out of the way and not fuck them up too much. For some reason my oldest loves to talk to me about politics since he started American government in high school No idea why anybody would wanna talk to me about politics. The others are fine with me as long as I pretend to show some enthusiasm towards their video game playing. Otherwise great kids and wouldn’t change a thing.

My oldest has told me how he's stacking money for when he wants me to come live with him, and my youngest is my muscle. It's a giant, lovely relief if ever needed.

I got a "I'm a responsible person" the other day and I immediately laughed internally and several times the rest of the day.

A lot. No sense complaining, since I'm 100% responsible for how they turned out.

When someone just breaks into laughter around me, I often will laugh a little myself.

We have 5 kids between the 2 of us....all in the house this week....crazy. They're all pretty good.
Of my 2 (biological) kids...the older at 20 really has no direction....trying his best to take after his mother. Drives me crazy. My 16 year old seems to have his shit together and will do ok.
My wife's oldest 2 are out of the house and doing ok getting established as adults. Her youngest who is 20 just like my 20 year old....same story. Very little direction and motivation to get out there in the world. Must be something with Y2K babies

My oldest son went to college and it is remarkable how much longer ice cream lasts in the freezer.

For whatever reason, we were a fudgesicle family. A box of 20 lasted less than a week. A box of 20 now lasts a month. Now I go to their places and I say, "where's the fudgesicles?" They don't buy them. They are Mr Healthy now. Then we get in an argument over quality of life and life expectancy.

Our youngest son has now graduated to eating a half gallon in one sitting.

And to Nardi's point, "Only Breyers please dad, the other brands have too many preservatives!!"
