Geeze, you guys are old.

Maybe you can be on staff for the Sox

This is the truth, Ruth.

I assume they are all bad guys in private anyway in one way or another.

I think he named Hendu.

I don't ever remember him beefing with a player.

I've never liked LaRussa going back to when he threatened Piersall but the Score's approach is making me change my mind.

I've always considered him among the best if not thee best. He was always ahead of the curve on things too. He'll probably be good.

Yeah, he mentioned "running up the score" yesterday which I find absurd in today's game where teams can easily throw up seven runs against a parade of mediocre relievers. It's not like you have Bob Gibson or even Dave Stewart on the mound for all nine throwing BBs and a three run lead is insurmountable.

Bernstein basically says LaRussa should "shut up and manage"

Now it's workplace issues. "Comfort" in the workplace.

Bernstein is the biggest ass to work with and for.

"Level of authority" --Dan wants to be the authority, the arbiter, not LaRussa.

Dan will insist that Tony LaRussa is too old and the game has passed him by while insisting that we must put Joe Biden in the White House.

The selective ageism is so hypocritical. But thats what Bernstein is, the worlds biggest hypocrite. parkins as well.

He's also an authoritarian. It bugs him that LaRussa seems to be one too. When Dan says that LaRussa is not the "arbiter of what people can say," that's just a joke since Dan thinks he is the arbiter. He often plays the role of arbiter, and is doing so right now! He'll defend himself by saying he is sticking up for others but he will try to silence or shout down the first other who disagrees with the party line.

All the while, he subtly links LaRussa with racism.

What a show!

He really botched the Sale and Quontana contracts and their subsequent trades.

There's a reason any manager would come here. Could have had Bochy or Hinch, but we end up with the old, overrated pile of crap that is La Russa. Maybe hell fall asleep drunk at the wheel again and get terminated. There's still hope.

WTF? Botched the Quintana trade?

That move might go down as one of the best trades in Sox history. And may end up right behind Brock for Broglio in terms of bad trades for the Cubs.

That's not really ageism. It's just a fact with old people. Biden is probably senile. It's not really ageism to suggest he shouldn't be president.

Why are people on this forum so soft and PC when it comes to "ageism"? Your mind deteriorates when you get into your 70s, typically. That's just how it goes. I don't want somebody that old managing my team or my country. La Russa is freaking 76. The guy is a dinosaur.

Pretty classy and expected stuff by Herb today where he is jerking off all over some radio guy's grave. This guy was working at an entercom station and got axed for saying something racist on a pod cast.....allegedly. There was CERTAINLY no racism yesterday at the score where herb and his intellectual spank bank provider Bernstein didn't shit all over a guy for being old and .........wh&^e.

Except many people in their 80s are sharp and vibrant.

Some seem to lose their sharpness much earlier.

On second thought, thats goalpost shifting. Its always ok to question, but what you said about Biden was different, 'probably senile,' but I guess it was a joke

Why would you think it's a joke? I was being generous with the word probably - Biden is clearly senile

When it's all said and done, Hahn will have made the two top trades in Sox history. Eaton and Quintana. I won't even add the Sale trade.
