If you're a horse for the course guy you gotta like the odds on the 7-Signalman currently at 19-1...know he's stepping up, but I'll work him in to my ticket...I've always been a fan of 8-Ry's the Guy, professional as they come...

If I thought the track was playing fair I would like Danny California a lot in here, but they've got this track like cement and there's so much bias that if someone gets an unchallenged half-mile, they'll be hard to beat.

Friday Race 7 Juvenile Turf…2 years olds going a mile on the turf, where many have never ridden that far, although the pedigree for the distance is evident virtually all of them…the 6-Mutasaabeg and 7-Fire at Will (1st) (who has shown versatility) have both won graded stakes races, and both are logical, as is the Irish horse 9-Battleground (2nd) …but the horse I landed on is the 11-Gretzky the Great who has won 3 of his first four races of his young career and has done so on the lead as well as off it a bit…the 3-Arbata finished a strong 2nd to the 6 in the Bourbon G2 about 3 weeks ago on this course...look, this is a race that has been dominated by the Euro invaders, and I honestly don’t watch them and traditionally lied low for this one…there will be value everywhere, I’ll just tread cautiously…Note that the only ones to win here have been East Coasters or Euros

11-6-3/7-4-8-9

perfect example of how schizoid i can be during this event...my wager line seemed to be disconnected from my thoughts i wrote...or i'm an idiot, that could be it, too

although an idiot who is alive in the P4 :D

So far I'd be better off day trading with Rube

The way this track is playing I won't be shocked if the Baffert horse take them wire to wire in the last.

getting it kinda close doesn't pay

When I saw a 74-1 shot win yesterday in the 3rd or whatever it was, I knew it was going to be a long day and so I stopped early and enjoyed the good weather. I wasn't going to mess around with the two-year olds with no histories.

I woke up this morning and Global Campaign was in my head. He's done well in his last two, winning the Woodward and Monmouth Cup and especially showing "True Grit" in the Monmouth Cup. The trainer, Hough Stanley, says it will be his last race. This is my good luck horse. The rider, Javier Castellano, has the same birthday as me---Oct. 23.

While Maximum Security has the WTW, Improbable has shown he can do anything and is probably the one to beat here. I don't like Tiz the Law getting repelled by Authentic in the Kentucky Derby, when the waters are much deeper in this race. I doubt any three-year-old will win.

There won't be a winner today as impressive as the guy that just won the first race.

That was ridiculous, he jogged a track record.
