There was some other pro level athletic feat that he claimed he could accomplish. Didn't he say he could dunk a basketball

That's a long distance when you actually get out there on the field, especially if you don't have big enough hands to get a good grip.

I used to be able to throw a football 40 yards. I don't think I could throw a baseball 40 yards at this point.

Baseball yes. Football no. 40 yards is longer than you think, plus I assume they meant with some zip on the ball.

it is, but given some proper warm-ups I'm sure both he and I could chuck a football 40 yards.

Now putting it into a window for a receiver or throwing it to a specific spot where somebody should catch it , that's a different story.

This comment just tells me you have no clear understanding of how far 40 yards is.

I could punt it 40 yards. Not sure about throwing it.

I trashed my shoulder end of my teens and I didn’t have a good arm to begin with so a 40:yard toss with a nfl football would be a stretch. I remember going up to Dyche stadium in 95 after NU beat Michigan an we tossed a ball around and tried kicking field goals. Definitely wasn’t going to be making throws over to the far sideline with much Zip.

We're in the exact same boat.

How long of a field goal could you kick?

I don’t have any recollection.. an extra point maybe  When I played soccer as a youth and IM I had a decent left foot but I found it to be one of those skills that quickly improves or diminishes with the amount you do it and I was not in practice. I’m sure accuracy and height would have been an issue even at peak leg strength.

I was part of a transition team working in Boise during the mid '90s.

The hotel had free drinks/happy hour from 5-6pm. Made for some great drunken hookups between employees and even better drunken hookup stories. We later found ourselves in the vicinity of the BSU stadium and managed to find a way on the field. Drunkenly running pass routes and kicking imaginary field goals on blue turf was a surprisingly good time.

For some reason they let kids on the field in Champaign with footballs. Making an extra point felt like an accomplishment after barely getting any air under the ball for quite awhile.

Foles might die behind the makeshift line.

The Bears were one of the few healthy teams early on in the season, but the Cohen injury was the beginning of the end. Tomorrow could be an epic disaster for Foles with this offensive line. Might be fun bad TV.

It's hard to see the Bears having extended drives on offense with the state of the offensive line. Tennessee is not a good defense, but unless there are just big plays down the field or short fields for the offense, it's very difficult for me to see them scoring more than 10-13 points on their own. If the defense/special teams help, they can hang in there.

Prediction:
Titans 24
Bears 17
