Isaiah Johnson was player of the game and he was a late 4th rounder. He has the best size/athletic traits of any cornerback since the combine began. He only played corner his senior year so it was a matter of getting him coached up. He has arrived.

Abram knocking Bulaga out of the game...don't see a safety do that to a tackle very often.

Parker played the game of his life. He was average but that's a huge step up for him. He did have 2 bizarre whiffs though fortunately they were on short passes so the ball was away when the defender got to Carr. The whiffs are what make this guy so dangerous.

Isaiah Johnson made about 6 big plays and drew an offensive PI after Mullen went out. He's another big, physical guy like Mullen who isn't afraid to put a hat on someone. The casuals bitch about pre-season games but guys like Johnson are why they are fun to watch and important for development.

I don't know why Gruden is having so much trouble scheming plays up for Waller. They take one shot deep and it was so obvious everyone knew it was coming.

Ferrell had a nice game and didn't play inside until the last drive where he was ineffective as usual. Nassib should have been inside and Ferrell left outside but Marinelli is a moron...

Agholor is still making big plays. The Raiders will have a decision to make about a contract.

Another guy they'll have to think about is Gabe Jackson. He has been very good. Its a good thing they didn't waive him after the draft.

The defense looked almost average on 1st and 2nd downs. Its 3rd down where everything just goes to hell. Its no mystery why they fail to stop anyone...some of the worst blitzes ever designed combined with soft zones with man look that seem to confuse everyone will do that.

I really thought Vickers would get that 2nd tackle this week. Ross didn't do much of anything but I'd rather see him than Vickers. At least he has the size to not get moved wherever the guard wants him to go like Vickers.

Anyone giving Gruden "heat" doesn't understand our situation. The defense is so awful we need to score at every opportunity. Lombardi even talked about it on his podcast and said it was 100% the right decision because the defense is garbage.

Gruden should be taking heat for punting on 4th and 2 on Chargers 42 in 4th quarter though. I don't know wtf he was thinking there. I have to wonder what is going on in Gruden's head. At times he seems to realize the defense is dogshit and at other times he seems to forget.

Young got rolled up on in Tampa game and injured his knee. He shouldn't of been allowed to play last week as he could barely walk before the game even started. He's still nowhere close to healthy but we don't have any other options and at least he's willing to give it a go although last week Cable needed to step in and say no that was ridiculous.

Its a shame we don't have an average defense. Its a shame we don't have a below average defense. How fast would Wade Phillips turn us into an average defense? A week?

The rest of the schedule is easy and with luck the starting offensive line will be back for the last 4-5 games.
