That’s not really the issue. I defended the TLR hire, and still am fine with it.

But Jerry just not giving a fuck throughout the entirety of the process is just a bad look. But he is free to not give a fuck. Like I said though, thoroughly castrating your front office and alienating your best players is generally not a smart move.

And why do British people call this "drink driving"?

Tony is our Billy Martin, a fine drinking man.

World Series Champs in 2021 (if Biden let's 'em play) with LaRussa. Also rans without.

The phone, drinking, the kids in the backseat, dumping hot coffee in to your lap. All of these are distracted driving and illegal. And all of you have done it.

Just in case anyone is being swayed, La Russa was so drunk that he fell asleep at the wheel at a traffic light during his first arrest. This time he jumped the curb causing his car to be inoperable.

just a couple of beers, officer

Why didnt the cops just give him a ride home and let him sleep it off ?

They couldn't drive his car home for him.

The most likely occurrence is that there were other instances where they did give him a consideration because he is Tony Larussa.

I've never spilled a coffee in my lap in my life

And those things are not all equally dangerous to drunk driving.

All illegal and fall under distracted driving. Eating too.

LaRussa was argumentative with police and badrogue is defending him. Maybe the police should have put their knee on his neck for 8 minutes to do this arrest too.

Not your kids. They're angels just like you. But mine? Yeah, they should be illegal. I had to drink to get through the trip.

Same. The "it's illegal to have kids in the backseat" part was a nice touch.

Jeff Passan is such an obnoxious douche that it almost seems like spite towards the reaction motived the hiring.

I can't blame LaRussa for that shit. If I won 3 World Series and got arrested for drunk driving I'm trying to play the same card.

Jerry: "Excuse me I'd like to return this jacket."

Teller: "Certainly. May I ask why?"

Jerry: "........For spite..."

Teller: "Spite?"

Jerry: "That's right. I don't care for the salesman that sold it to me."

Teller: "I don't think you can return an item for spite."

Jerry: "What do you mean?"

Teller: "Well if there was some problem with the garment. If it were unsatisfactory in some way, then

we could do it for you, but I'm afraid spite doesn't fit into any of our conditions for a refund"

Jerry: "That's ridiculous, I want to return it. What's the difference what the reason is."
