Meh, I didn’t love it. Eating the Frog Lady’s last of her bloodline eggs being a running gag is a bit much. If the payoff is that because BY was brought up by a morally grey (at best) violent father figure, Adult Yoda becomes a psychotic force wielding killing machine, fine, but not sure that’s the way I expect it to go.

I mean the egg supply seemed endless.

As long as at least one egg survives the frog lady’s bloodline can live on.

The people who really got into their feelings about this (Not you KD) need to remember these are....

Sure, but I’m sure each of us have had feelings about franchise moments/events/storylines that normal people would give a hearty Nelson Muntz HA-HA! at.

The egg-eating provided an added dose of drama and suspense to the show.

Every time I saw him grab or eat one, I had to admit that I winced.

That's damn good storytelling when you can make the viewer feel shit in 4-D like that, so kudos.

Nothing wrong with a little cringe every now and then. It's nowhere close to 'Green Inferno'-level, so no reason to jump out of anyone's seat.

I don't know if it's going to happen or not but it seems to me that Baby Yoda isn't actually eating the eggs. They spent WAY too much time referencing how the eggs are going to get cold in the water tube thing that looks pretty cool but seemingly doesn't have a heater and he is swallowing them whole with no remorse whatsoever even as the Mandalorian is telling him no.

I certainly don't think they decided for season 2 to spend at least 3 episodes of it basically watching Baby Yoda slowly destroy a species without any sort of redemption about it.

Then again, the assumption that Baby Yoda is always a force for good may be something they want to end.

Baby Yoda, like most children of a certain age, thinks just about anything is edible.

To add to it, there is a reason we saw him bite the spider from the egg in the last episode. I don't remember how he has eaten before but it was certainly a lot different than how he was eating the frog eggs.

BY is basically a toddler in his species’ years.

To me the joke was just some dark humor in a sci-fi show.

Whether it landed or not for some people is up to them.

The pearl clutching over the joke caught me off guard, but I guess it shouldn’t have in this social climate.

It would be great though if Baby Yoda happens to actually be a bad guy and people on twitter are all mad saying things like "WTF. I named my kid Baby Yoda and you make him the bad guy? I'm going to have to change her name now".

I'm enjoying the episodes. Seeing the X-Wings was pretty cool. The ice spiders were super creepy. Was a little surprised by The Child's eating habits, but maybe Brick will finally be right about something.

MANY have thrown out the theory Ahsoka will be training The Child by season’s end.

The Mandalorian takes place around 9 ABY (after the Battle of Yavin, the attack on the first Death Star) which is five years after Return of the Jedi. The events in The Force Awakens happen in 34 ABY. This puts The Mandalorian much closer to the original trilogy than the new trilogy.

Star Wars canon has stated that Anakin was born 41 years prior to the mission focused on stealing the Death Star plans. That means that both Baby Yoda and Anakin were born sometime in 41 BBY, which doesn't seem like a coincidence.

I think Ahsoka is looking for Ezra Bridger.
