Honestly, I'd throw Tyler Bray out there. He has two weeks to prepare. He's as old as methusala but hasn't had an opportunity in any regular season NFL game. Maybe he has something. Most likely he does not but we already know what we have with the other bums.

Too many guys making business decisions out there on offense, even the kid that just go called up from the practice squad ducked out of bounds rather than cut inside for a few more yards. When you put that together with the bush league play calling that exposes rather than protects the QB, if I'm Mitch and his agent I'm looking for a doctor that advises me to sit out the rest of the season and protecting my career.

Yep. That Artavious Pierce play was minor but it really got me angry watching it. Here is your first NFL action. You make a nice play and have an opportunity to finish off the run but you go OB without even being touched. I would have had words for that guy if I was the RB coach.

Jimmy Graham is the poster boy for no effort. He doesn't care a lick about blocking. He gives you zero RAC. He keeps his arms tucked into his body so he provides no catch radius. He's just a really bad veteran example.

WHAT CAREER? Kid's not getting a job next year. Seriously.

You don't think Mitch has a job next year for some team?

And so it begins. I predict an ode to the splendors of Arkansas football to follow.

He is a very young quarterback that has some talent, some team will think they can possible get him going. it always happens, hell Bortles got a job, last year and this year.

Virtually every team in the league would love to have (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky as a backup. He's a borderline starter in this league and young enough that a change of scenery could make a difference. Even taking the chance that he is the next Alex Smith or Ryan Tannehill is worth him having a job next year.

He should be cut today for that move.

He could have dove into the ground and picked up two yards without being hit.

I guess we'll see. The rest of the season will expose him further.

Some NFC East team brings him in to be the backup and gives him a shot to win the job in training camp. If Matt Nagy was a good coach Mitch might have a tougher time. But Nagy is so bad that somebody will roll the dice for a year.

 City of Fools always manages to top himself with bad sports thoughts.

I'd be willing to wager a pretty large sum of money that Mitch is on a 53 man roster somewhere next year

with a pretty healthy (for a backup), multi year contract to boot

I'm probably the biggest anti-Mitch guy here and even I think he'll be employed. His ceiling is good backup imo.

He's probably in that weird section where he is good enough to be a starter but any team who would want him as a starter as an upgrade would rather either lose or have a player on a rookie deal. He'd pretty easily be an upgrade for a team like the Jets, Redskins, or RAIDERS but what is the point in trying to win when you aren't going anywhere anyways.

Darnold is better than Mitch. He will go on to start and have a decent career after he gets out of NY

Darnold is better than Mitch

There's really no evidence of that being true outside of Adam Gase having a consistent track record of ruining guys who play for him.

(Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky failed far less than Darnold did.

It's possible that Darnold is being ruined in New York but it's just as possible that (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky was being ruined in Chicago.

  The only scenarios where Mitch is NOT on an NFL roster next year is if he retires, or teams are only allowed to have one QB. That's it. Otherwise he will be at worst a #3 on some team.

I would wager that he starts at least one game in 2021 for somebody.

Mitch could start for Dallas or Washington right now.

Watch Mitch come out and be really good these last 5 games or whatever, and Pace will franchise tag him

It is quite amazing.

Mitch will 100% have a job in the league next year. Look around the league and see the back up QBs.

Good ole CoF

Mitch would be good backing up Jackson in Baltimore or a similar QB.

Next year he'll be starting for the Patriots and we'll all be like "WHY COULDN'T HE DO THAT HERE!" and then we'll have Nick Foles teaching the Bears offense lessons about how to overcome adversity by overthrowing open receivers when he isn't throwing into double coverage and we'll be saying "Hey, maybe Tanner Morgan should be playing!".
