This is getting kind of tired. I've always maintained Foles is better than Mitch. I've never said anything else about him.

You definitely thought he was a lot better than he is and it’s patently clear at this point Mitch is the better QB so even that thought is still bad.

Nope, I said he's better than Mitch. Open to losing that but I'm not going to let you imply I overstated his abilities. I always judged him against Mitch.

But you did overstate his abilities. Several times. You thought he was a smart, accurate game manager even when I was telling you that wasn’t the case. He’s always been a terrible QB. You let your memories of his playoff run three years ago cloud your judgment on him. I’ve been wrong on players before too but you’ve been quite stubborn in refusing to take the L on Foles which is why it’s so amusing to me to keep bringing it up.

I'm wrong all the time. As long as you understand I'm wrong on Foles vs Mitch I'm good. I never wanted Foles here, but once he came here, I did obviously think he's a better option than Mitch.

This fucker was brought in here to be some kind of smart veteran player who protected the football. He is just as inaccurate as Mitch (in a different way) and throws the ball up for grabs regularly.

Remember, Pace gave up a 4th round pick for this guy. Think of all the draft capital wasted on these two shitty QB.

When Pace is fired, it will be primarily because of how badly he mismanaged draft pick trades.

Ironically though, he was only truly saved by a great trade for Mack where he did in fact value draft picks by getting a good one back that turned into superstar practice player Cole Kmet.

Pace has drafted zero (0) above-average offensive players during his six-year tenure as GM of the Bears.

Mooney's gonna be a player. He would be putting up really good rookie numbers if Foles didn't routinely sail passes 7 yards over his head.

Kyle Long barely qualifies. So one in six years.

Holy shit you're right. I confused this with a different thread in which we detailed all offensive picks during the past ten years. I believe the consensus was Jeffery and Long were the only notable picks on offense during the past ten years.

Foles made throws in the 1st half last night you haven't seen from a Bears QB in ages. He throws better than even Cutler IMHO.

Can you imagine if he actually had an offensive line to protect him like Brady has had his entire career? Foles would be throwing for 300 yrds. and at least two touchdowns every game. But, no, you had to give away all your draft picks for Mack, who hasn't done shit this year. You don't give up two first rounders for a DL/OLB unless he's Reggie White in his prime. You could have rebuilt your O-line with those picks you gave away. Just stupid.

I would definitely keep Foles.

Let's just end the voting for "worst Bears thought in history" right now.

You didn't watch the game then. I'm talking about the backshoulder throw he made and the pass he made scrambling to Kmet, to name two.

And Foles can throw the deep ball. You people have no eye for quarterbacks. You would be perfect candidates for the Bears next failed GM.

Foles is good, I'm telling you.

No guy that you draft will be better than Foles. How soon Bears fans here have already forgotten the clutch games he won early on. He beat Brady again (the only Bears quarterback to do that) and went toe-to-toe with the Saints, who were/are a good football team, before losing in OT on a field goal. He's a winner. Your coach and GM, not so much.

If you threw everything you had at the OL and receivers, the Bears could be competitive again next year. That's the shortest route to the playoffs. The long way is to blow it up again, with no guarantee you will be better. I would not draft a QB next year. This is a bad year for QBs.

Until you can bench the remoras that are the McCaskeys, you're doomed. They're worthless as team owners Even Halas lost it 55 years ago. Time to stop the delusions

Demand they sell the team.

I was the only one that said it still should be Trubinsky after that Foles comeback in Atlanta.

The only one. Now all the media is on the bench Foles thing.

Mitch wasn't good. But he still would have went 2-2 in these last 4 games.

And I wanted to see the young guy play because you drafted him number 2. There was no fucking point in getting Foles and playing him. It was stupid.

This. If you start Bray you’re conceding the season and losing the team (which means Nagy is losing his job, and he knows that). Mitch is the only choice at this point. Maybe there’s a miraculous turnaround. Probably not but Bray has zero chance of success. The only reason to start Bray is if you truly are tanking - which may actually be the best option from a fans perspective.

Fuck Bray. That's not the move. He's like 30 years old and has been bouncing around the NFL for 8 years without playing.

You go back to Mitch. It's not even a question.

Bray knows the offense though.... may not be able to play QB, but he knows the offense. knowing the offense has kept many a QB employed (chase daniel, bray, jon quinn). Bray will know right away like foles that he wont have enough time to allow the play to develop because he knows the offense THAT well

kyle slotter time.... pre-season HoFer
