Need big Z to bounce back after getting stomped last outing so they can win in Florida for the first time since 2005.

Zambrano doesn't have his good fastball. Low 90s today. Alot of times it's high 80s. Don't know what it was last time against the Cardinals. He usually can be mid 90s when he needs it.

Maybe just a "dead arm" period.

Man, what is it about playing at the fish place that just messes with this team so bad....

Man that was huge, big time pinch HR for Ward, it is about time he got a big hit for this team.

I was going to call for his immediate release after he got another pinch hit out.

There was much awesomeness with that swing.

Wood has to make this stick. Ward isn't going to do too many more of those in a Cubs uniform. That was fantastic! My kids are startled and my wife is pissed and I don't care. HOT DIGGITY FUCKING DAMN!!!

It was a thing of beauty!

No doubt, Wood has got to nail this one down!

Hopefully Milwaukee was watching that, and it messes with them tonight.

I was hoping he would walk Cantu, rather than pitching to him-with first base open (thanks to the wild pitch). Cantu is a much more dangerous hitter. It worked out very well in the end. Just glad Kerry didnt groove one to either Hanley Ramirez or Cantu in the 9th. That at bat Ramirez had, was a great match-up. Wood threw a lot of tough pitches to him. But to Ramirez' credit, he kept fouling them off and staying alive. Great game all around. Ward getting a big homer, after having struggled most of the year, was nice to see too. 5 in a row now and a 74-47 overall record. Pretty sweet.

More good news, the Dodgers beat the Brewers which means a 5.5 game lead now.

Henry Blanco having a nice night. He threw out Hanley trying to steal third and then ties the game with a HR.

13 left on base today. You cannot win many games that way.

I think this is the 3rd time DP Lee has been intentionally walked to load the bases with one out and Aramis has made them pay every time. How stupid are these other managers? Have your advance scouts do their research on who on the opposition is truly clutch.
