they probably smoke weed, they love posting about vaping (they don't hide their fb stuff). But for the most part they are just lowlifes. Unfortunately they appear to come from upbringings that didn't really lend them much of a chance So you kind of feel for them but they are adults now capable of making better decisions.

Got a call from a pollster today.

Southern accent girl. She said she was from "Public Opinion". Never heard of it but everything seemed legit.

Asked me about 10 or 12 questions, the last being who I will vote for. Also asked if I am for or against the IL amendment change.

At the end of the call, as we were saying our goodbyes, I told her to "remember one thing: Make America Great Again!"

She was giggling along with me.

Today I called the Bengals ticket hotline. This was during business hours, accounting for their time zone.

Was tryin' to see if they'd answer and how many fans theyre allowing in the stands Sunday against TEN. Cuz I was thinkin' of driving down and catching the game as it would be a nice getaway.

And just thought it'd be neat to call a Cincy number and talk to somebody.

Anyway, was progressing thru the automated system to talk to an agent and then suddenly they tell me to leave a message. No explanation or nothin. Just leave a message.

So after the beep, I yelled "Answer the phone!" and I hung up.

I have had a bit of a tough time the last few days- we had a bill due with the doctor who did Mrs. K's knee replacement surgery, for about $1150. I have my money directly withdrawn and put into my HSA on each payday, and have most of the balance invested inside the account. Well, it seems that you can’t just spend more than the HSA card has on it and expect an auto transfer from the investment portion- you actually have to transfer it ahead of time. Additionally, the account is not smart enough to know that IF you transfer, say, $1150 into the account, you might have a reason why. So, on two consecutive attempts, I transferred the money in only to have it transferred back out before I can get through to the doctor’s office (don’t even get me started on hours of 9-11:30, and 1:30-4 at the doctor’s office).

This afternoon, I had had enough, and actually called the number given to speak to a real person.

Dial 877 number, enter last four digits of your HSA card number, enter last four of your SS number, enter your zip code.

Ellie:“Hello, this is Ellie, Thank you for calling He@lth3quity. Please give me your first and last name”

Me:“Uh, K Effective, E-F-F-E-C-T-I-V-E”.

E:“Hi, KILO, how are you?”

M:“Never Better, and you?”

E:“Are you the Police?”

M:“Huh?”

E:“Are you the Police?!?”

and, of course, the proper answer to your very own, personalized security question????

Bibgo, Francis!!

It's the only time I can recall being allowed to create my own security question, the only time I've been asked said question by a human, and honestly, I almost fumbled it!

Of course, I had to explain the reference to the young lady from Utah...

update :

the parents each have representation. well had. both lawyers quit the case due to not ever being able to reach their clients. the parents have 10 more days to file and appeal but to do that they'd have to take the initiative to call and ask for new lawyers. So the chances of that are zilch.

and for the past 2 years, DCFS and Help at Home (another org) have been coordinating weekly visits with the parents and kids. someone comes and picks up the kids and takes them to DCFS and will also pick up the parents if they need to and then there is a 1-2 hr visit (monitored). There is a bit of work involved by all partie including my wifes and she has to get everything ready, packs a snack and anything else that is needed (the parents are supposed to bring all of this but they usually don't and if they do its a bag of cheetos and pop....for a 3 yr old) . And the parents only show up like 20% of the time. and yet these planned out visits persisted. Sometimes the kids will be at DCFS, sometimes it will get canceled before the people pick them up. Its a complete waste of time as the mother just basically sits on her phone even if she does show up.

Here is a side note : often times H@H will call us and ask if they can switch the time around from here on out because it doesn't work with the moms schedule....my wife is like, what schedule they have no job they have nothing going on! H@H is like oh yeah. I'm like they are just fucking with everyone.

They haven't shown up for the past 5 weeks...to see their 5 mo old child. Well H@H basically said we are done. We refuse to schedule weekly meetings any longer. if the parents want to set up a visit they can call us. And our caseworkers boss is basically like yeah I've had it. Visits have to be made available but they don't have to actively schedule them.

got a call from a police support donation fund. i said i will donate, but i want them to email me so I can verify, because i get a lot of spam calls. the guy ignored what i said and kept reading his script. assuring me just stay on the line and they can take my payment info. i said ok and hung up as he was still speaking.

i then searched website he claimed to be a part of. the address was a few letters different than what he said it was. i emailed them, gave them the phone #, and they responded promptly and said thank you. no pressure to donate, they knew this happens alot. but i do wonder if that website was also spam.

So my wife asks me “what would it take for you to go up to the store and get some milk?” She obviously knows what the answer is and I am out the door in 5 minutes. But the more I think about it, my wife is in a very good mood which usually means sex. So I think she always wanted it but just decided to parlay it into me running an errand. I’m not complaining. Midweek sex is a treat and I’ll never turn it down.

should have been more specific and used it as an opportunity to push the envelope

He did. Midweek sex. What husband gets sex on a Tuesday unless it's his birthday?

I am a JA Court GAL in my county. Nothing is more frustrating to me than to have parents that don't give a shit about seeing their kids. The caseworker will pick them up and the parents no show. It makes the kids feel terrible about themselves, and is a huge waste of everyone's time. I am happy for you and the kids that the bio's are about at their deadline. In any of these cases the easiest thing the parent can do is to see their kids. I hate when they jerk them around. If you aren't going to bother seeing them, just go ahead and surrender your rights so the kids have the opportunity to get someone who wants them. God bless you and your family. It is often a thankless job being a foster. There are so many kids out there that would have no where else to go except for people like you. Even more so that you are willing to parent the kids forever. My thanks to you.
