This is actually pretty interesting. Say he is out for the year, worst case, doesn't that change your approach to today? Like assuming Klay is fine GS is assuming they're contenders, and I think that's reasonable. But if Klay is out long term you're...not contending. May be the difference between going for it and blowing it up.

I think they still take Wiseman, but I hear what you are saying.

Fair to say the Horford signing from literally a year ago didn't work out that well.

It's almost impossible for the Thunder not to be title contenders from like 2025-2030

Danny Green sucks.

They must be desperate for players who will shoot and miss 3s.

If this was a normal draft I'd agree. Considering it's universally regarded as the weakest draft class of the past decade I think GS plans dont change. Steph was vocal over the summer about wanting to get back out there at 100% and compete. I think even if it's a torn ACL GS is going to do what they can to put the best team out there this year.

They were desperate to get out of the Horford contract. You thought that compensation was just about talent?

I mean I assumed there would be a better player to grab if it was about unloading that much capital.

It's a brutal contract considering his age but I agree. I was shocked when I saw it.

There's never been anything like it in the history of sports I don't think. And they've done it without (yet) bottoming out with a 12 win roster. It's what Sam Hinkie would've done if he was competent.

Just imagine if they also traded Durant at the deadline the year he left.

None of which want to play there. I’m a small market fan though so I hope they hit on those picks before they get the chance to bail.

If Klay fucked up his achilles that becomes one of the worst contracts in the league. 4 years 155 million left.

Maybe. Klay is fucking great, only 30 years old, and doesn't overly rely on athleticism for his game. I'd be surprised if he wasn't a good player in 2024

The Seth acquisition is way more defendable than the Rivers one. He’s literally a perfect fit in Philly

I actually think the move was made for basketball reasons this time.

Yeah fucking around.

Belated edit after I realized that wasn’t clear, but post was intended as a who gives a shit type thing.

Defensive stoppers are in short supply and Denver will miss Grant enormously.

Its interesting to read Hollister yesterday. Considered him to be vastly overpaid (which i agree with) but also claimed that whenever he was on the floor Denver got outplayed. I didn't really see that did you?
