That question has already been definitively answered. See Jason Bernstein's comment above.

Sounds impressive. Does he have any skills?

Breaking down Patrick Williams:
- 6’8 F with 6’11 wingspan
- Elite on-ball defender. Elite shot blocker
- 2nd young player in the draft
- Ball handler
- Elite Hustler
- Good 3pt shooter
- Create own shot
- Can guard all 5 positions
- Didn’t start any games but finished them
- NCAA season was cut short limiting his opportunity to start
- Compared to Kawhi Leonard/OG Anunoby

He's an elite hustler

Patrick Williams invented the stretch 4.

Pace was sold on his lack of experience and accomplishments.

Too bad Golden State didn't pick him. Sounds like he would excel in the San Francisco area.

I’m skeptical he can guard all five positions. That was never true about LeBron when folks used to say that about him

He guarded the point for his state-championship team in high school.

Even more impressive, he also possesses significant nunchuk, bow-hunting, and computer-hacking skills.

I read the Bulls became enamored with how well he took being benched on his middle school, high school, and college squads.

We're going to need to nuke this thread the minute he becomes clear he's pretty good.

He is good in the paint but not as good as his brother Sherwin.

Sounds from everything above like he will spend his rookie season playing mostly in the second unit and guarding the other team's top scorer in their second unit. And then maybe coming in for defense in the fourth quarter on those rare occasions where the Bulls have a big lead.

Meanwhile, Donovan and his bosses can spend the year figuring out which of the holdovers are worth keeping.

I think college starters were still available at 7.

He looks like he AK has a steal with this pick. Wish I could have seen him in summer league but from his highlight tape it appears that he has a little game on him

I even heard he likes basketball... and daffodils.

He should buy himself a little flower shop across the street from Holy Name.

You heard it first. AK made the sort of move that Paxson would never made. He gambled on a kid that has the potential to be a star and I'm glad that he did.

This isn't a mult Zippy.

I actually think the kid will be a steal. Wish I had the summer league with which to assess him but from what I seen on highlight tape i think he can go.

He already has an NBA body, is only 19 and he has a few tools skill set wise from which to work. I don't think he will be a bust at all. I love the fact that ol AK didn't go for the "consesnsus" pick at that spot either. He trusted his "eyetest" instead.

I actually think AK struck gold on this one. The whole he wasn't even a "starter on his college team" thus he has to be bust isn't a deterrent either. College coaches are notorious for trying to hide guys from the NBA. That's probably what happened here.

I wish I had the benefit of watching him play in the summer league before making an assessment but I don't.

Yep and there probably was some of that going on here. College Coaches have historically shitted on guys in an effort to prevent them from going pro. I think that may have been what happened here.
