I feel like the WWE has taken a step back with Thunderdome. I'm just not a fan. They should have kept some of their live audience and combined it with the virtual fans. The piped in crowed noise is just over the top, and out of place in many parts. The added entrance effects are nice though.

I'm still wondering what they have planned for this retribution group. I'm kind of hoping Reigns is involved with them, and maybe some of the other guys who refused to work earlier during covid. I'm wondering if they are just going to bury The Fiend again just so they can put the belt on Reigns quickly.

I agree on Thunderdome. Plus you get the KKK people and it really is just asking for trouble.

I really hope Retribution strikes on Sunday to help Reigns win.

That would work out well.

Latest conspiracy theory is Wade Barrett, who was all of a sudden a “guest” for commentary on NXT last night - and who will be on commentary again for next week’s episode.

That would be terrible.

Well, WWE’s gonna WWE, so...

The whole thing has been dumb, so why not do a Nexus reboot to seal the deal?

Reigns would be the only wow factor guy to make part of retribution and I don't see WWE making him a mega heel. I'd also pull in some of the other guys who refused to work during covid, and they could make this thing fun. But it will never happen.

Supposedly it was originally going to be Ciampa and Dijak as the big names from NXT.

I rely hope it's Reigns.

I can't believe this Keith Lee guy is younger than me. He looks like he could be 50. I thought Reader might have signed up for WWE.

isn't being a big name in NXT kinda defeating the purpose of NXT?

I'd rather see them launch Lashley, turn Keith Lee heel, and have MVP as his mouthpiece. There's something about the cadence he uses during promos that just drives me up a wall.

Agreed. I don't pay attention to NXT, so Lee hasn't been on my radar. His promos will put you to sleep.

Vince laying the hammer down. Just sent a letter to all talent telling them they had 30 days to terminate all outside contracts.

I think they don't like these Cameo deals because the characters aren't being kept in character. And look what Long Island Iced Z did -- all the sudden people like you without the context of the WWE having to be there, and then they leave WWE and take their viewing eyes and dollars with them.

What the fuck is Vince doing with Retribution? They build them up as some unstoppable force, but then make Mustafa Ali their leader, a guy who was stuck working their C-show mostly. When they finally compete in the ring they have been handed multiple losses from the Hurt Business, and they were also completely destroyed by The Fiend. This angle is now completely dead.

If there is one thing WWE consistently hits it out of the park with, it’s their documentaries.

Table for 3 and Legends of Wrestling are very entertaining as well.

This salute to The Undertaker at Survivor Series was terrible. It's like they planned it out in 5 minutes but they had months to put it together.

I stopped watching halfway through the "legends" showing up.

They blocked nearly 40 minutes for this thing, but the legend entrances, and Undertaker's entrance took up about 30 minutes of that time. And there was zero reason for any of those guys to even be there because they all just disappeared before the Undertaker even came out. Why not have them outside the ring? This thing was a mess.

I know he's taking some time off because he's having a kid, so maybe a way to write him out for a bit? He needs to go away. That storyline with Mysterio went on for about 6 months too long.

I guess Sting showed up in AEW last night. They're not actually going to put this guy in the ring, right?

I am a huge Sting fan, but there is no way they can put him in the ring. I would guess they just try to get some mileage out of him being a character. I mean it will probably get me to tune in a little more to see what they are doing.

When I work from home i have the network on in the background sometimes

Royal Rumble 90 today

Rugged Ronnie Garvin beat Greg Valentine in a submission match with the Sharpshooter (worthless Schiavione called it a reverse figure four)

I think that is before Bret ever used it

So on top of being super boring with no personality and taking himself way too seriously, Bret is also a thief! A Rugged Ronnie Garvin thief!!!

So much better as a heel. Reigns as a heel has been great as well.

WWE Network premiering a new series in January titled "Icons"

Pieces on Luger, RVD, Beth Phoenix, Bulldog, Yokozuna, etc.

Looks real good.

TLC tonight was pretty good. The inferno match was meh.

I have been watching parts of both shows the last couple of months.Actually know the names of most of the wrestlers for first time since like 03. Smackdown does seem to better.
