This afternoon, the Bears announced Mitchell (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky will start against Green Bay. Foles is officially doubtful for the game and Mitch is off the injury report. With how bad the Bears O Line is, having a running QB behind it is not a bad thing.

The Bears are still going to lose on Sunday, but they have a chance of keeping it a 2 score loss.

The outcome will be the same regardless of who is starting at QB for us this Sunday.

We've seen Mitch for 3 years. Hopefully both of these guys will be long gone next year. Unless we are rebuilding the Bears will sign another rebound QB and draft offensive linemen in the off season. Will Pace get it right this time?

Foles is under contract next year right? Guaranteed money? Maybe even 2 more years

Unless he managed to become more accurate while benched I don’t see anything changing. After his first year teams made Mitch beat them with his arm. Mitch couldn’t figure out how to do that consistently enough. I think the Packers will be ready and won’t let him run much.

This running thing is a joke. Mitch had running capabilities ever since he was drafted and it didn't help him not suck. Pinning our hopes to a failed QB just because he's mobile is classic Chicago football fan desperation. I don't contest that he's more mobile than Foles, I just take issue with the sentiment that his mobility will now all of a sudden make the Bears great again.

Mobile and a better passer.

This will be another embarrassment on a nationally televised game.

I’m seeing bears +8.5; if I were inclined to bet on the beloved, I like that number.

What have you seen that I am missing that shows he is a better passer. Foles had some decent stretches where he was very accurate and had one hell of a run in the playoffs. Mitch is lucky to have 2 or 3 throws in a row on the money. He has no touch on a deep ball. Yes he chucks it up sometimes a receiver goes and gets it but I haven’t seen him hit receivers in stride very often. Once teams switched to zone and disguised it a bit Mitch was no where near smart enough or accurate enough to beat it.

Sure, is that a problem? I’m happy to wager if you’d like.
