I watch his speech every year and it chokes me up every time.

"Don't give up, don't ever give up"

MANY will joke about it, but if your life has been affected by cancer you'll probably understand.

Absolutely. The V Foundation and St. Jude's are my two
primary medical charities, although right now I don't have as much to give as I used to.

Gentlemen, we’ll be successful this year if you can focus on three things, and three things only. Your family, your religion and the Green Bay Packers,

Yeah. That was a funny line.

Like he said, he was 23 at the time talking to 18-20 year olds.

It's actually pretty interesting that ESPN not only does a really good job with the actual charity, but also squeezes out every ounce of "ESPN and the ESPYs are relevant" because we do this week which actually ends up being like 13.9 days.

Nah, just a run of the mill turd. And besides, there is a time and a place to "give up". That's what grownups do.

Have you watched that Houston game recently? They took that game over and then slowed it down for some reason.

So, in general, the board values Pat Patterson over Jimmy V. Is that what I’m gathering?

I can't watch any part of that game. It's only a notch above the worst game of all time, Georgetown v. Villanova

Ugh.

I hadn't even clicked on the thread about Patterson until you mentioned him. I had no clue who he was. I wish I still did.

The guy beat all the best wrestlers in the world in a tournament in Rio De Janiero. What did Jimmy V ever win?

Invented the Royal Rumble, too. Was pretty funny as a Stooge, but that was beneath him.
