I'm going to try and make my own egg nog this year hoping I don't hate myself for drinking it after a few sips. What is a good thing to add to it? Bourbon seems to be the most popular choice but I have no clue what to buy.

rum brandy or bourbon. four roses is nice for nog vanilla and caramel. can be anything just know the profile of what you are adding.

Go with the uncooked version.

If you go with rum, I would suggest Myers’s Dark. I think it’s flavor works better with the nog.

I drank way too much bourbon at the party I went to this weekend. The guy opened the bottle for me and no one else was drinking it. I got in a little argument with someone mfing one of my friends who wasn't there. Then I went back to get another drink and noticed how much I'd consumed. Then I got a Mc Rib on the way home.

One of my favorite bars in the world is Bryant's in Milwaukee. Every December they have an actual Tom & Jerry room. You get a ticket to enter from your waiter and go upstairs to this little room where a bartender is just waiting and mixing the Tom & Jerry batter. I don't know whether they're open now or not.
