Keeping his current 12-2 slot.

Adding Sunday AM 5am-9AM, which will air over 670 as well

He really thinks he’s a unique, creative voice.

It’s funny

Do the national listeners want to hear him talk to local news women all the time?

He’s just happy to be able to expand his art, and have a new opportunity to discuss “rasslin” and Alabama Football

This probably adds an additional $200k on his salary. Good job, Laurence!

I agree that he's creepy with women he has on the air and kind of a dork, but I don't have the same level of hate for Larry that most others here have. Good for him.

Good for him

I have no issues with Laurence...his show has always been somewhat tolerable.

Do you think that Goff will wake up at 5am on a Sunday to talk to Laurence for a segment with nobody listening?

I hear a fair amount of CBS Sports Radio and ESPN Radio on the weekends, and Laurence are no worse than anybody else. For the next two months he can interview various team beat reporters about that day's NFL games.

I don't think anyone really hates him anymore, the days of Laurence-->Larry-->Leery as #1 board villain have been over for about eight years now.

They would climb Mount Everest for each other if asked.

The biggest question is whose show will he play segments from for a national audience?

I've always pop the Sunday morning show national show for a minute or two. I can't remember the names of any of them. They do seem to change on a regular basis cuz I do recall different voices.

Good for Larry. It's not that big of a deal.

Well, now a national audience get's to hear how he likes baking cookies and skipping through fields.

Yeah, Sunday morning used to be John Kincade out of Atlanta, right? I remember him being kind of a Thrashers guy. The Thrashers guy. No one else was.

EDIT: Ah, I see, he's moving up to do mornings in Philly, hence the opening.

Kinkade was also the co-host of Shaq's podcast, so I wonder if that will change.

Hope he does well.

I remember listening that early on weekend mornings first when the kids were babies and then when they had early games in far flung locales. Drop them off for warm ups, find the areas best donut shop then sit in the car until I was needed. Spiegs used to have an early morning show, as I remember.

That's when they had Sporting New Radio as their national programming.

Sir is perfectly capable of doing the bland radio preferred by network sports talk radio. This is a good fit for him and he is the kind of employee that will work for cheap and never leave until he is fired.

This is very true. Early Sun mornings will be a good fit for him.

This is how I feel. I don't listen as much as others here, but I have found him to be a short burst of something different. He obviously cares, is passionate, and puts the effort in. If he is on for a while I have no issues hearing him on my way to the golf course on Sunday mornings.

Reminder that the intro for the national Parkins show had a clip of him saying "I have a raging Chubinsky." Ugh. Uuuuuuggghhhhh.
