I cannot have any faith in a coach who thought Rashaad Coward was the better choice to fill in on the OL than Barrs for two years in a row.

This freaking OL transformed the moment Mustipher and Barrs started but neither could find the field without extreme injury issues. We also fired their OL coach.

It's not like this is the only example of poor talent evaluation by the coaching staff.

How is Wimms getting pt after his embarrassing incident followed by Riley Ridley showing ability when he was finally given a chance. He did it last year as well.

Someone from above had to have told Nagy to play Kmet more than Demetrius Harris. There is no way he figured that out on his own.

It's like the moment he takes his hands off something, it gets better.

I have been back and forth on who is the problem and I think it is Nagy.

I agree on everything but the Wimms comment.

He is a far superior blocker to Ridley.

Wimms sure isn't afraid to mix it up

lose to GB and Pace gets fired, because I still don't think this team makes the playoffs if they split the next two games.

Pace really is bad at talent evaluation.

And yes, Mitch looked good yesterday. But eventually teams are going to load up the box and dare him to throw it deep. He's going to end up being better than Foles this year. I'll wear that.

And character evaluation of those he drafts as well.

Was it ever reported on what caused Wimms to flip out in that game?

I never saw it.

I did see a few Chiefs get i Gardner-Jonhson's face yesterday though.

Quote:
Wims was ejected — and later suspended — for throwing two punches to Saints safety C.J. Gardner-Johnson’s helmet Nov. 1. Gardner-Johnson had torn off Wims’ mouthpiece earlier in the game, for which he was eventually fined. Wims told his coaches that Gardner-Johnson spat at him, though the safety denied it to reporters.

Receivers coach Mike Furrey had warned his players not to engage with Gardner-Johnson. Wims fought him on the next play.

“The way I handled that, the biggest thing was the communication,” Furrey said last year. “To learn a lesson that, when someone’s trying to protect you from maybe ruining your career, you need to listen.”

Yeah Wimms actions were inexcusable but everyone in the NFL seems to hate Gardner Johnson

He's now gotten two people suspended and he comes out with next to nothing. It sounded like he goaded Thomas into hitting him as well. I cannot believe his Saints teammates weren't angrier with him but maybe they don't like Thomas either.

I had him as one of my guys in the draft and he dropped without explanation. Maybe the scouts knew.

Which as a football player must mean that he's also pretty good with the hands.

I thought they said on the broadcast yesterday that when (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky got the job back, he asked the coaching staff for more reps for Kmet.

Yup, Olin and Thayer have been inferring for a while that C is not the best place for Whitehair. He obviously, like many of the Bears, struggles mightily with the mental part of the game. Like his best friend Mitch, if you give him limited options he can be adequate due to physical ability, but will never outthink anyone.

The fact that Belichick wanted to sign Bars was an indicator of his talent.

The offense looks more cohesive under Lazor, he seems to have and actual plan, and Lazor is an NFL retread who has never been thought of as an offensive genius. At this point there is really no reason to retain Nagy/Pace, a replacement level Coach/GM could likely come in and do better with the current roster.
