The first DT should come off the board around then if we stay in a 4-3. If we move to a 3-4 I can see us going outside linebacker. Either way I see us taking a safety in the 1st or 2nd. If we decide to part ways with Brown (saving a ton of money in the process) then OT is in play.

I haven't been a close observer of Kwit this year. If that game is indicative of his work, I don't feel we missed as badly re signing Trevathan

Will Compton talked about Guenther on his podcast today. He said he liked Guenther but thought the firing was the right move. He said his system was too complicated and when something didn't work it was always the players fault. In other systems Compton played in they would have about 30 calls total for the game...Guenther had 30 for 3rd down alone so there was not a lot of coaching technique during the week because they'd have to try and learn his enormous gameplan.

Last season when we were good vs. the run and had good run fits the front was pretty basic. Throw in what Compton said in the back seven with what Marinelli does up front with all his ridiculous stunts and line games and its no mystery why we are so inept. Poor gap responsibility is a Marinelli trademark the last 10 years. Gruden really needed to step in and save these two idiots from themselves.

There seems to be something organizationally wrong as well. Either Quality Control is inept or they aren't being listened to. I would guess they were ignorned by Guenther/Marinelli/ and Gruden.

He has a good track record and is respected. He's the opposite of what we've had with Guenther. He runs a simpler scheme that let's the players do more reacting instead of thinking. I'd like to see a switch to a 3-4 as well so unless Fangio gets fired I think he would be best for our situation.

I'm worried Marinelli is talking up his son in law with the Rams so he can stick around. That would be the nightmare scenario. Everyone else (Quinn, Morris, Williams, Patricia) would be a big improvement over what he have.

Gruden's playcalling on 3rd down and goal to go has been abysmal since the New England game. How in the hell do you go 0/10 on 3rd down with Waller, Renfrow, and Moreau on the team? That's more concerning than the defense.
