I deglazed like a motherfucker and the onion soup is dark, sweet, and earthy. It's going to be delicious once I assemble the croutons, cheese and broil the top. I'll put the beef roast in the oven shortly and then begin work on the pancetta-leek tartlets and the mushroom-leeek-gruyere potato gratin in earnest. Munching on some cookies now.

When should we be over?

Real men cook, whistler.

You ever shit our your wife's food at a gas station while jerking off?

My mother made a full meal and sent my sons back with two days of food. I guess I'll save the Dungeness crabs for next week.

Broke my arm Monday so today I simply ordered sweet & sour chicken for lunch and ate two of those frozen Uncrustables for dinner. Right now I can barely manage to open a soup can so I'll probably be on this shitty diet for the next 6-8 weeks.

You can use the broiler at the end if you want to put some bark on them.

I've read about that. I've never used the broiler in my life but will tomorrow.

....and I burned the shit out of them.

Yeah, the broiler goes from zero to ruined pretty fast.

Don't be discouraged. Directions usually say 3-5 inches from the top but in my oven the second rack is a better distance and watch almost the whole time. Broilers are often spotty in ovens sometimes you have to move it side to side.

Last year my friend set the yorkshire puddings on fire by putting them too close. It was a bit frightening for a moment.

I wasn't feeling well enough to head outside a second time yesterday. And as a result I didn't want to sour everyone else. I usually only leave home for good and drink, except to work.

You guys are impressive with your cooking. I can do it well but I rarely cook any more. Most of mine these days is on the grill but I'm not doing the elaborate smoking I see from you boys.

wife made a chocolate pie and a french toast casserole. I went christmas morning to the bagel shop and got bagels, lox and cream cheese.

Spent the next two days eating bagel sandwiches, french toast and pie.

I alternated between lox sandwich and bacon egg and cheese bagels throughout the weekend.

Which Christmas is that? The Greeks? Like I tell my cousin Genie (Greek on her mom's side), no one cares.

Ugh. I know how that feels. I made an ice rink for my kids a few years ago; just as I was stepping off of it--after showing them how to walk safely on ice--I slipped, became completely inverted, and landed on the point of my collar bone. It completely shattered and I needed extensive surgery and a couple metal plates to get it to grow back together.

I hope you start to feel better soon.

I've been on ice and around chainsaws and I'm the asshole drunk with the 4th grade education that's too dumb to know her ass from her elbow? I'm a victim, I'm the dick...clearly I'm a dick here but I'm right too. Sooo...

Thank you for proving my point about your tenuous grip on reality and your bipolarity. You are embarrassing yourself.
