Reading a couple of stories today, it seems like Riverboat Ron wanted no part of Haskins' approach. Haskins' agent tells him the right things to say in public, but that's about it.

It's a shame that a couple of his teammates couldn't have had a nice quiet chat with the young man and beaten the hell out of him until he figured out how his teammates expected him to behave. But I guess the NFLPA frowns on that these days.

By all accounts Haskins was never the first guy in or last to leave, didn't watch film etc. If you suck like he does and show up early and leave late..you can hang around for a decade like Chase Daniel or Josh Mccown.

i'd go farther than just saying even football players. a ton of young people are more interested in "building a brand" (elmhurst steve!) than they are maturing into an adult. and social media outlets have enabled them to be like that.

instagram and tiktok are just the latest incarnations of this.

boog's going to get flack because he's targeting "young african american players" but his point can be taken at a much bigger level.

Was it about building a brand though? It just seemed like Haskins is just selfish and lazy. He’s not the only one, and it’s likely not race specific. Maybe Booger has his own thoughts on background being an factor, but he didn’t really express them well in that clip.

unless he knows something we don't, it sounds like he was taking a general potshot at the youth. i haven't heard any stories of haskins particularly "building his brand" but i doubt it's a baseless argument. i'm sure a lot of the "cancel" crowd are also trying to "build their brand". people don't want social media to become obsolete. it's all they do with their time.
