“Elite” is a bit strong, and I think the Haskins comps are more toward attitude than ability.

Wentz had an elite majority of one season and either through his lack of work or personality and has turned off his coaches and teammates. The rest of the time he's been Trubinsky like.

wentz' mechanics are shot. he needs to re-work everything this off-season to get his accuracy back. will be real interesting to see what philly does... it doesnt seem like that wentz contract is tradeable without eating a lot of it

A new system got the Rams there, just like with kaepernick years ago. Once.

There is washing out because of the league catching up to you. There is washing out because a talent evaluator blew it and you got drafted too high.

Then there is washing out because (allegedly) you can't be bothered to follow prescribed norms on how to study and be a good teammate. That is pretty rare.

It seemed to me after watching Hard Knocks a few years ago that Goff is so limited intellectually that he would be looking to cheat off Mitch if they sat next to each other in a class

It's a big school. A lot of people graduate every year.

The most difficult part of most schools is getting in, which is eliminated as an athlete. Go to class, do your homework and you'll pass.

Or at least arrange for somebody else to do your homework, and take classes with no final exams.

Goff is Hester-like in his intellect. Mitch is a little better, but wasn't going to be doing much with that UNC education.

I know that, but damn if he doesn't seemed to have gotten smarter by the inevitable osmosis from being there. I mean hell, Beast Mode seemed to get...something.

Goff seems like he was on the Mike White Illini athletes' experience.

sounds like a lot of immaturity with this guy. He was probably coddled his entire stint at OSU. now real life happens and he can't cope with it by himself. So he has a tantrum and finds out how real life works (NFL player still isnt real life) and you have to pay the piper for your decisions.

Pretty sure he will never be good but this is probably one of the best possible landing spots for him.

I agree. He was crazy good in his 1 year as a starter in college but he still came in pretty raw. I think he has a chance to be decent with the right coaching and improved maturity.

This is make or break for him. If he is a fuckup with Mike Tomlin after being a fuckup with Riverboat Ron, his next stop will be Edmonton.

Its a strange story. They were married in March so no idea why an engagement was announced almost 2 weeks after he got his tooth knocked out. I wonder if before the incident he and his PR people came up with the engagement announcement to get some publicity for his brand then he didn't tell them what happened and they just announced it as planned.

Just read this and find it hilarious that he says he doesn't remember anything.

Kalabrya Gondrezick-Haskins faces a felony charge of battery and domestic violence resulting in bodily harm stemming from the alleged altercation on July 3 at The Cosmopolitan.

According to reports, Gondrezick-Haskins is accused of punching Haskins in the mouth, and other injuries Haskins reportedly suffered were "substantial in nature."

Haskins, 24, had a split upper lip and a missing tooth, and he suffered other injuries to his mouth that would require dental work to repair his teeth, according to reports.

Police were called to the hotel around 2:30 a.m. PT, according to reports, and Haskins was taken to the hospital for the facial injury.

Gondrezick-Haskins told police, according to reports, that the pair married in March and were in Las Vegas to celebrate with friends and renew their vows. At some point in the evening, there was an argument that escalated when she allegedly hit Haskins in the mouth.

Haskins, according to reports, said he remembered getting into a fight with his wife but didn't remember getting punched in the mouth. In searching the room, officers found a piece of tooth and blood, per reports.
