Several reasons I can name immediately why Marquee is not resonating (and The Athletic pay subscription sports site has had thorough discussions about this very topic).

Mine should be very obvious ones:

All the Rickettes care about is money and more money. They did it with the renovations and seeing what has happened with the YES Network in New York and NESN in Boston, would it work here? In my mind, it is a resounding no.

The on-screen graphics, definitely need large eyeglasses to read the ball/strike/out count let alone what inning is taking place.

The postgame show: Instead of everyone talking about why the Cubs won/lost as they did, all they mostly show is promos for future documentaries. Definite head scratcher, that's for sure.

And to fill the remaining hours, who really wants to strongest man competitions and boat races from previous years? You have got to be kidding me, and everyone who has a cable system is stuck forking over how many dollars per month just so you can still watch your favorite team in blue.

Not sure why people are angry at Rickettes. He's not the guy who signed a bunch of shitty free agents. I don't get the free pass for Theo.

I don't think there is evidence TOM Ricketts is all about money. You may be able to say that about his dad and some of his brothers.
