Wentz is just having an off-year but is still a very good QB.

Instead of drafting a project, I'd rather try to trade for him. Mack for Wentz straight up.

Keep Foles as the backup.

Wentz contract is worst in league, Philly gotta cough up a draft pick first or second rounder to move that. He would look great in SF or Indy.

There must have been a blowout on meth somewhere this weekend, because I can’t believe there have been two people on this board so far (not you, TEiA) that want Wentz, an oft-injured cancer that couldn’t keep his job over a rookie and will cost $25 mill per.

I don't want Wentz. I think he'd be very good in Indy or SF. I said Id take him if Philly tossed a first rounder to us.

I wanted Hurts in the second, that was my guy.

This will be a deep QB class, deepest there’s been in a along time. The Bears need to take a really close look at the top 5-6 guys that could be there when they pick. They can get O-line help in the 2nd, they need to draft another QB right away.

Wilson, Lance, Jones and Trask are all interesting players that could go anywhere in the 1st as of today.. the combine could change some of that but I feel like all 4 of those guys have the talent to look good at the combine too.

Watched Jones and Trask, both are immobile pocket passers surrounded by incredibly talented skill players that make them look way better than their actual talent levels.

Can only hope Pace doesn't move up to try to get one of these guys.

supposedly another great draft for wr, and also great for OL and qb

I'm just not seeing the QB greatness. Obviously greatness at the top.

WR looks 20-25 deep of great players. Looking at Great Blue North, they have Toney from Florida at 20 and I think he has top receiver talent. Elite WR group this year, just like last year, and we better get ourselves one.

Maybe a new QB on the horizon?

Bienemy seems like a no brainer for Houston.

I’d love to have Watson here in Chicago, right before the draft that year he was the guy I wanted the Bears to take (tho I’ll admit months before that I was cold on the top QB prospects in that draft).. but how in hell could the Bears land him now..? What on Earth do they even have to trade for him?

Didn't he just sign an extension? How can they create that much cap room?

In answer to the 1st question- I’ve read it could take 4-5 first round draft picks. As to the 2nd, next year is $10M but 2022 is $35M. They could probably afford it but I don’t know how you fill out the rest of the roster.

If you do go after Watson you have to fire Pace. Pace thought so little of Watson in the draft that he didn't put any effort into actually evaluating him.

There are numerous aging overpaid guys on the D that you can move, but not sure what kind of cap relief you get. Read somewhere that the Bears cap is heavily skewed toward defense and pretty light on offense, but this will take several seasons to correct in a normal offseason let alone this year where the cap number decreases.

Bad paper eventually catches up to you.

I would be stunned if the Bears pulled off a trade for Watson but it would be pretty cool

Except the part where it is being reported that they are not going to interview him.

No one player is worth 4-5 1st rd picks
