Something is REALLY fishy with that. Why can't they answer?

They probably gave him a 7-yr extension at some point.

Did any reporter bring up Pace’s draft and free agency record and ask George and Ted how in good conscience you can bring him back? If I hear the word conviction one more time....

Pace and Nagy both had their contracts extended by a year or 2 earlier this season.
Allen Robinson isn't a priority.
They're going to look to acquire a QB from a team with a high draft pick.
Foles may end up being the starter next season.
They believe the issues on defense was coaching and not talent evaluation.
Nagy was calling plays the last 3 games.

Is this all stuff from the world of Nas Speculation, or did this come from the presser? I stopped listening

Can't wait for that Foles/Minshew competition in training camp

The same Nas decoder that was mocked after the press conference last year and ended up being nearly 100% accurate.

Maybe a Tua or Darnold.

So they will be getting Sam Darnold and a new DC to right the ship

I dont buy Nagy calling plays the last 3 games....maybe against NO, but there is no way he called the game against GB

Nagy was absolutely calling the plays vs the Saints.

Nagy appears to still believe in Foles. His stubbornness is more concerning than his player evaluation and play calling.

If Tua is already on the trading block it’s a red flag.

Brining everybody back from the 22nd ranked scoring offense seems well thought out.

I thought I read sometime during the season that he said he didn't know if he will ever get back to what he was physically.

Bears love taking risks on injured players

(Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky as the scapegoat? You traded picks to move up one spot to get him, and then traded away a 4th round pick to replace him and he beat out Foles both in training camp and in the season.

22nd is a mirage, you minus the garbage time points and they're probably 29th.

Well when you put it that way, it sounds kind of bad for Pace.

I remember an interview after the (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky draft where Pace admitted his career arc was explicitly tied to Mitch’s. Not sure how he separated himself from that.

As I said in another thread, I’m pretty sure it’s status quo because they don’t have to worry about selling tickets in the Fall—we’ll still be in partially filled stadiums so they save money by keeping these stiffs.

And Ted should not even be at the press conference if he is simply the “financial guy.”

Parkins took issue with Hub’s defense of Ted’s business acumen, saying anyone would’ve likely done the same, as the NFL has been printing money during Ted’s reign. Even though Hub conceded he didn’t know for sure since the books are private, he thinks the Bears are near the top earners of teams that don’t own their stadium.

They probably gave him a 7-yr extension at some point.

Really, someone like Bernstein should just go with that. "Obviously they gave him a long extension. 5, 6 more years... Maybe 7. They won't deny it. Why not? Because it's true. If it's not true, Ted Phillips can call in right now and I'd be thrilled to be corrected. If not, I'm sticking with a 7 year extension, so Ryan Pace is your GM until 2028. Great job, Ted."

Pace should have been out of a job as soon as it became clear (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky was a bust sometime mid-last year.

Signed Glennon.
Traded up for and blew the biggest draft pick in recent history.
Traded again for a QB to replace the blown pick.
Now given another chance to potentially pick the next QB.

The Bears are one of few, if any, teams that would allow that GM to stick around. Truly a dysfunctional franchise.

Brugler has you guys taking Teven Jenkins the OT out of Oklahoma State in the 1st. He has you guys taking WR Dyami Brown in the 2nd.

I like Jacoby Brissette for you guys. He was playing really well before the knee injury in 2019. With your offensive line you're going to need someone with some mobility.

Jacoby Brissette? Mine as well stick with (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky.

Because they both suck at least as much as (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky. What's the point?
