Too bad FF can't admit that Lamar is who we thought he was: fast, a good guy, and a below average passing QB.

He got hurt. He’s gonna win a SB at some point. Needs better WRs

I think he's gotta run less and they gotta run Dobbins- EdwArds more. Make him a play action QB like Tannehill with the added ability to run 5 or 6 times a game for 65 yards.

Lamar? Not without a ton of luck and/or injuries.

His style of play narrows his window and near term Super Bowls seem unlikely with mahomes and the bills in the same conference.

Lamar Jackson will make the SB one day i agree. He's on a tier above Watson but little below Mahomes.

The only guys Id take ahead of Watson are Rogers, Mahomes, Allen, Herbert and Russ.

Trying to get into Pace's mind here...does he not try to trade for Watson because it just further cements how wrong he was for passing on him in 2017? Say he does trade for Watson and gives up a two or three picks in the process, that cost would have to be added to whatever he paid to get (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky in 2017, which just underscores how catastrophic the (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky decision was to the franchise. Just wondering if Pace is thinking about that stuff as this Watson situation plays out.

Yeah, but if he trades for him the "Matt Nagy is racist" caller will stop calling the Mully and Haugh show.

“Some confused Newton’s bold prediction that Carolina “will do whatever it takes” to get Watson for a sourced report. Newton theorized that if the Panthers went all-in it could involve shipping first-team All-Pro running back Christian McCaffrey and three-first round picks to Houston to secure the miserable Texans signal-caller.

Owner David Tepper wants to win a Super Bowl,” Newton said on ESPN’s NFL Live. “He’s made that clear. He understands it takes a marquee quarterback to do that. If you look at recent history, outside of Patrick Mahomes, the quickest way to do that is to trade for a marquee quarterback and not draft one in the first round. Just ask Tampa Bay.”

CBS Sports reported on Wednesday that Tepper is “beyond smitten with Watson” and is ready to move on from a “game-manager” quarterback, which sounds a lot like current starter Teddy Bridgewater. It lends further credence to the measures the franchise might be willing to go to try and pull off a turnaround similar to their NFC South rival Buccaneers.”

Seriously???

Carolina is interesting, 2 bad MFers at WR and sure Mccaffrey is great but he's a RB, very replaceable. Solid Dand solid O line. A smart GM could lose 2 or 3 first round picks and make it work with Watson..Pace ain't a sharp guy.

Are the Panthers aware Watson was the QB for a 4-12 team last year? And before everyone plays the "talent around him card", Houston does have a very good oline including the best young LT in football

Watson or his attorney claims the plaintiff's attorney offered to settle it for $800K? before even filing. If she has the apology text message from Watson, pay the settlement. Otherwise it's he said/she said.

2 women have filed suits with a total of 4 women complaining about Watson.

Pace and the Bears feeling a bit better about skipping dinner.

No way the Texans owner/GM didn't know about these impending lawsuits before they were filed. Hence signing Tyrod Taylor yesterday before the lawsuits made the news. Good chance Watson's sitting out at least some of next season regardless of what team he's on.

It seems Watson fell into Buzbee's honeypot.

Completely agree. The Taylor signing didn't make sense until now. I also wouldn't be surprised if they encouraged some of these women to come forward in order to humble him.

He's a sick dude. The money and fame could get him just about any woman he wants if he had a drop of game, but he prefers to try to strong-arm women.

I'm not a massage guy but I think the misperception is that every one of them is willing to finish you off for a price. They have to object at first in case its a police sting but its available with persistence. I assume all of the legit people, both men and women, have horror stories. There were stories about Travolta trying to push the issue with male masseuses. Manning was pulling that stuff at Tennessee.
