So, the Sox have a chance to play a winning team with good pitching, who they owe a lil payback to. The Rays, despite injuries, have amassed 77 wins already this year, including some painful ones at the hands of the South Siders. Tonights game against Edwin Jackson (9-8 3.97 ERA) has Danks taking the bump (10-5 3.11 ERA) . Should be a good game. Saturday has Scott Kazmir (9-6 3.21 ERA) facing the unpredictable Javier Vasquez (10-10 4.34 ERA) Which Javy do they get? You know Kazmir is a handful. Then Sunday Andy Sonnanstine (13-6 4.37 ERA) faces the also somewhat unpredictable Mark Buehrle (11-10 3.91 ERA) If the Sox can take 2 of 3, it would be a great series for them. The Rays are depleated-having Evan Longoria and Carl Crawford out, making it tougher on the Rays, but they have been playing well so far in their absences. Willy Aybar has done a very good job filling in for Longoria at third, both on defense and with the bat. So despite key injuries, this Rays team remains a tough squad.

One thing for sure they will not score 33 runs over these 3 games! Might be lucky to get double digits!

Buehrle has not been unpredictable if you take a close look at his season.

Buehrle has indeed been fairly unpredictable. I took a close look.

I wouldn't call his 11 hit 5 run outing Monday real good either. I know he wasn't helped by his defense, but still 11 hits.

When he's on he's really on, and when he's off he's really off.
He's unpredictable.

I know plenty about him. He has fake hair and fake legs. And a fake title because there is no way he is a "professional" broadcaster

White Sox series analysis from Steve. Another reason to use the ignore function.

The White Sox have had their chances so far tonight, but haven't been able to get anything besides Nick Swisher's 2-run homer. It appears as if the Sox will be dealing with the Rays' bullpen, minus the DL'd Troy Percival coming up...

That was a perfect pitch by Balfour. Quentin couldn't do a thing with a 95 mph heater on the black.

Dye went down swinging to end the bottom 7th with the Rays leading 3-2 and the Wentworth Miller-looking John Danks looking at a loss if the White Sox don't find a way to get the offense in sync. The Sox could wake up tomorrow out of first place again if the Anaheim Angels don't beat the Minnesota Twins tonight...

Bad news, Sox fans...The Minnesota Twins lead 3-0 in the top 6th of their game with the Anaheim Angels. The White Sox could be out of first place again in the A.L. Central if the Angels don't comeback tonight. By the way, Anaheim visits "The Cell" September 5-7, just so you know...GO ANAHEIM!!! 8) 8)

Both Chicago baseball teams suffered from bad bullpenitis today.
A couple of suckfests that need to be quickly forgotten.
