Is Philip Rivers #1? Matt Stafford seems on pace to be #2.

https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/28021754/barnwell-ranks-best-qbs-never-reach-super-bowl-philip-rivers-no-1

10. Jeff Blake (1992-2005)
9. Randall Cunningham (1985-2001)
8. Jay Cutler (2006-17)
7. Jeff Garcia (1999-2009)
6. Jim Everett (1986-97)
5. Jim Hart (1966-84)
4. Tony Romo (2003-16) - ahhhhh i dunno jim
3. Dan Fouts (1973-87)
2. Warren Moon (1984-2000)
1. Philip Rivers (2004-2020)

i'd rank moon 1 over rivers. the jeff blake ranking was amsuing. not sure how stafford isnt on the list but jeff blake and jim everrett?
edit: i googled "who is better matt stafford or jeff blake" and one of the hits was a detroit fan site complaining about the barnwell article having cutler and blake over stafford

Fuck Romo. He didn't get to a Super Bowl because he sucked in big games.

Rivers/Moon are 1A and 1B maybe.

Parkins and Spiegs were talking about Rivers...12 seasons over 4,000 yards. Bears have never had one QB do it.

Rivers played in a pass happy era, I get it but still pretty incredible.

Cutler did it his last season in Denver then never again.

Arbitrary threshold to a degree but even Moon was doing it 30 years ago

Moon didn't break into the league until age 28?

That's a high % of picks. Maybe QB's threw more interceptions back then? Or dbacks were
better at hanging onto the ball when (mis)thrown their way:

He was tearing it up in the CFL before he joined Houston.

....just sayin

The answer is Warren Moon at #1 and it's not even close. Fine with Rivers at a distant 2nd.

Warren Moon threw the prettiest deep ball of any quarterback I have ever seen. I used to enjoy those Oilers games with him and Givens and Hill and Jeffries.

What Moon did in an era where basically the defensive backs could beat the shit out of WR's was pretty amazing. The Run and Shoot was fun to watch, but not a sustainable offense. That's the only reason the Bills came back to beat them in the playoffs, they literally didn't know how to "run" the football.

He absolutely gets in the Hall of Fame before the likes of Paddford, Eli and Rivers.

None of them deserve to be in the Hall
