I expect more from you, this is a terrible idea-post.

1. (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky is a FA
2. Detroit will trade Stafford for some value..even if Mitch was ours..he has no value.
Stafford wants to go to a winning franchise not this dysfunctional clown show.

Stafford should go to the Saints, but they have zero cap space. With Phillip Rivers retiring, a couple of years in Indy might be the ticket.

Lions would never trade him in the division anyway.

He'll either go to the Patriots, Saints or 49ers.

People on Twitter are arguing if he would bring back a 1st or 2nd round pick.

Let us know when the people on Twitter come to a decision.

Lot of interesting possibilities. Indy, SF, WFT, Jets, NE, Miami, Denver, Carolina

I’m not sure about every teams, “cap hell” situation, but if you were the GM of a decent team that you thought still had a run in them, a first for Stanford seems possible. Saints, Steelers if Roethlisberger retires. Their not giving up top 20 picks anyway.

Colts make the most sense. although Stafford looking at the success of Shanahan/McVay/LaFleur could view Rams (if they were in the mkt and could afford) or 49ers as desirable landing spots.

Lions play NFC West in 2021, including hosting the 49ers at Ford Field. Can see not wanting to lose to Stafford right after trading him--but if you're the Lions in rebuild mode, who cares about losses? Stafford returning to play in Detroit is a guaranteed sell out (if fans are allowed by then).

if the Dolphins wanna do the Alex Smith/Mahomes thing with Stafford/Tua, they could swap their 3rd overall from Houston for the Lions 7th + offer the Lions their 2022 1st round; which the Dolphins with Stafford are picking at the bottom 1/3rd of the draft in 2022. Dolphins still get two 1st round 2021 picks to pair with Stafford now and Tua beyond. Lions move into a better position to draft a QB.

Don't think Dolphins or anyone would or should straight give up a 3rd overall for 32 gonna be 33 years old / never won a playoff game Stafford. Although that would really jump start the Lions rebuild, to get 3rd overall and 7th overall this season. But Dolphins moving down only 4 spots and then throwing in a late 1st round 2022 pick seems reasonable.

Dolphins also have two 2nd round picks this year, thanks to Bill O'Brien. Maybe Dolphins swap 3 for 7 and toss the Lions the Texans early 2nd round pick this year.

Divisions: AFC South and AFC East both have at least 2 teams each in rebuild mode in 2021. Texans/Jaguars and Jets/Pats. Titans are a Derrick Henry injury away from joining the Jags/Texans in rebuilding. Colts should have a cake-walk to division titles and hosting a playoff game or two the next few seasons.

You'd think the NFC would be the more gettable conference over the next 2 seasons, with Mahomes/Josh Allen/Lamar/Herbert/Lawrence/Wilson all in the AFC.

Broncos another makes-sense landing spot.

The Redskins are making history by hiring the Lions GM for most of Stafford's tenure (Martin Mayhew) as their new GM; which will be the first time a fmr Lions GM got hired again to be an NFL GM. Could give Washington an inside track to bring in Stafford.

Colts / 49ers / Washington / Miami (who can easily outbid everyone else with draft picks)

The Bears can't catch a break. The best available QB is in their division and he will never get traded to the Bears. LOL

Nobody wants to come to Chicago. Who wants to come into a situation where the owner will not publicly reveal the GM's contract situation? No coach or player wants to come into a place where the future is uncertain at nearly all key positions within the organization.

The organizations decision to bring back Pace/Nagy has almost certainly guaranteed the team will fail miserably next year.

His next teams fan base gonna be real confused when he throws for 4500 yards, 30+ td’s and they still finish 7-9 ish..

#1 pick for a 32 yr old? Yeah not so sure on that one. Maybe a late round #1, but I would not trade at top 15 pick for him.

Lions need the Colts and Patriots to get in a bidding war. Those are the most realistic options.

S.F. would be a great fit too, Pittsburgh too.

Turns 33 on Superbowl day. It would have to be a team that is on the brink of winning to give up a #1, and even then, it would have to be with no competition in the market (e.g., Atlanta doesn't move on from Ryan at the same time.) If they think they can get more, great... go do it then.

Be a good move, they'd demolish their division.

Keyshawn Johnson said this on ESPN the other morning. He said Matt Nagy does not know what he is doing as an offensive coordinator and no top tier player will sign with them until he is replaced with someone players have faith in.

im seeing allen today and mahomes making plays w/ their feet.

Mitch can do the same thing.

what went wrong? was it shit coaching? I can see Mitch being a Allen/Mahomes type. not saying as talented, but at least serviceable.

just not sure what went wrong along the way.
