It doesn't mean that at all. They had Parkins solo to save money. Does giving Bernstein a partner mean he couldn't hack it solo? Very few hosts can pull off a solo show and the ones that do continually have the producers chiming in.

Let's hope it's Spiegel. That combo was excellent when it was broken up and they have sounded great when paired over the last few months. And hopefully this would get Shane to pipe down. His antagonistic shtick is getting annoying.

I've heard Rahimi more the last week or so as I've been in the car quite a bit. She makes me miss McKnight. Seems like they just wanted to be socially correct and give the job to a woman who wasn't Julie DiCaro. I'm thankful she didn't get it but Rahimi brings nothing to the table.

She's very nice, but she's more of a side-kick than a co-host. Bernstein likes to go to into specifics when talking sports (coverages, schemes, etc.) while Rahimi just pauses, asks very general questions. I'm not impressed by her sports knowledge, and it's obvious she's not there for anything other than being a woman. Maybe she'll grow into a co-host role.

I wouldn't be surprised if it were Grote. He has been on the past few days and has been much more subdued than he usually is. No over the top Fugitive and other stupid impressions. It has been a decent listen. I think someone have told him to tone it down a bit. He has actually seemed like a viable radio host.

It doesn't matter. None of the hosts on 670 are interesting enough to keep me listening unless there's a major story, and to be honest they could put any two schmucks on during a big story and I would listen.

As a side note: Why does 670 hire hosts who have this disdain for callers? The station was built through the caller host relationship. Danny and Larry are the worst. It's like "dude, you're not that good that you can carry the whole show. Talk to people."

Because most callers suck or at the minimum don't add anything to the show. Reading texts or emails is a good method for listener input in a way that won't slow down the show.

I don’t listen to anything on Barstool. The Monday after the Bears playoff loss I listened to the first hour of both Parkins and Spiegel and Bernstein and Rahimi. Bernstein took calls and it was painful. Parkins and Spiegs had a sharp, fast conversation. There was no comparison as to which segment was better.

It should be Spiegel based on the candidates they brought in over the last months. If it's anybody but Matt, they fucked it up. I don't think they will. I think Spiegel is the winner.

I like Spiegel more than I once did. He changed after he got fired. I think that humbled him.
