OK, but how long are we stuck with Wentz after they are gone?

Bears would be on the hook for $43.5 mil over 3 years. That's not as bad as I thought it would be.

Cohen sure talks a lot for averaging 0.6 yards per catch.

Carson not being the problem with the Eagles is a good thing, right?

The Tweet blames the GM. Honestly if this deal goes down the Bears get a QB with a fairly low cap hit. Eagles have to pay the $34 million in dead money. So it’s a straight salary for a few years. It makes them more interesting than journeyman and low draft pick QB made by Pace.

Love the completely hypothetical nature of these NFL rumors that are likely started by teams/agents in order to gin up trade offers, but if we are going to look at this honestly.

Montgomery should get all Cohen's touches, would be trading a guy with a very limited role. Foles looked done last year, a backup at best at this point in his career. First round pick would be the big chip here, but with Pace's history of misses in the first round, maybe saves the next GM/Coach from having to deal with whatever he would reach for at #20 and prevents him from burning future draft capital to move up and reach for a QB.

I guess the question would be if you think there is a better option at QB in the draft than Wentz?

The actual trades that happen you never hear about beforehand. Zero chance Bears trade for Wentz.

It all sounds fine but he's gotten hurt every single year. He has had his back broke, and 2 knees. If he was in the draft, no one would touch him in the first round and the Bears are supposed to give up a first rounder? It just doesn't make sense.

It doesn't make sense.

But neither did picking a QB with only 13 college starts.

Very stupid. The only thing I could hate more than a trade for Wentz would be a trade for Watson.

How is Carson Wentz worth a first round pick in your view?

He's not, but that was a lost cause once George extended Pace. I'd rather lose Foles than the 2023 first which is probably going to be top 8 (I'd say too 5 but Detroit is still in the NFC North).

2021 is a lost season so the goal should be to shit can Pace at the end of it.

Just checked on the Bears cap situation and...how does Pace still have a job? He's had to throw tons of bad paper around to make up for draft mistakes and that will severely limit the team for several years.

The Cohen contract is a firable offense, he is not even a top 30 back.

Charles Leno has an $11M cap hit next yr, $5 of it is dead cap. If they could package Cohen, Foles, Leno, and the #20 pick, the Eagles can just send back a 7th and I'm good.
