It definitely makes one sound silly but I can’t really hate too much. I get it. I was stupidly declaring Rodgers the goat in 2012. It sounded very similar to the current Mahomes praise.

At least you gave it seven years. JBills was sold after watching training camp updates.

I enjoy JBills acting like Bienemy is a sure fire top HC candidate despite what the league has discovered about Nagy and Pederson.

The latter has as many Super Bowl wins as a certain qb up north.

Sure. And Rodgers and Trent Dilfer have the same amount of rings so they’re roughly equal. Solid thought by you.

Thank you. To paraphrase a certain actor’s intro...did we just become best friends?

And the reckless guy he replaced.

Just sayin.

My man. That’s we call bipartisanship.

Yeah, that too. Well whatever, I'm just messing around sort of with JBills. He knows that. He has this thing about believing in...things, in people, whatever it is. I don't have that. Too cynical I suppose. Guess it sets us up to clash with one another.

Mahomes has already had the best season of his career. He won't finish as the GOAT.

Mahomes is too fragile to be the GOAT and nobody is going to ever touch Brady's claim on that title

He hit his head against the turf but man, that sure didn't seem like much. The boxing industry calls that "a weak chin".

He had that Joe Biden look when he got up.

at the end of the day, the Brady people will always have the team accomplishments, like in the Lebron v. Jordan debate

hard to discount it, especially with Brady now taking his guys and beating your guys one season then taking your guys and beating his guys the next. He successfully unshackled himself from Belicek.

I think he's got 2-3 more seasons in him somehow too.

Can't help but wonder if this concussion is his first. Seemed like nothing.

I don’t think it was his head, didn’t think it at the time either.. the way his neck got cranked and how instantly woozy he was made me think of a ‘blood choke’ in MMA where blood circulation gets cut off and the person goes limp almost immediately. What’s scary about those is that if held just a little too long you can kill the person or give them permanent brain damage.

I hope they thoroughly check him for that kind of thing, because the side effects I believe can be very dangerous if not completely recovered.

Damn fine observation, NME. Makes me want to go take a second look.

I was reading some stuff yesterday out of KC on this and I think NME is right on what happened. I don't think it was a concussion at all. And as most teams they are being really vague about what did happen.

But I fully expect Mahomes to play this weekend.

Look in the game thread. I said he never hit his head. He did bend it a hell of a lot. He was woozy for sure but I thought that might be nerves as they say or lack of O2 from almost a choke.

While I definitely agree Mahomes would improve the Bears.. respect has to be paid to a proven offensive mind and successful QB teacher in Andy Reid who can make the most of the talents handed to him.

And Nagy has proven he is unable to develop and teach at that level -it took Bill Lazar the last few games to show how to use Mitch. That’s a direct indictment on Nagy -and that’s who Mahomes would be stuck with if he was here. Might not look as good as you think.

Can I answer after they win the game, or is this a 1st half only thing?

I’ll need a minute to recalibrate the argument, but Brady as GOAT seems a truism at this point.

Always was. I’ve consistently pointed out how ridiculous this assertion was, tonight’s just more evidence. This was never a debate.

Can’t argue with that tonight. I could be an asshole and try tomorrow with the benefit of some space, but 7 SBs seems impossible to overcome. And mahomes played like shit tonight.
