i had a donut after dinner. the exact opposite of when it's supposed to be consumed. but it was worth it.

Parishes can either sprinkle ashes on the top of the head or apply to the forehead with a cotton swab. Ours is opting for the top of the head.

Ran the New Orleans marathon a few years ago. Someone was passing out King Cake at one of the water stops. BEST. KINGCAKE. EVER.
