I was a 25% owner of a side business a while back with several friends. Turns out the guy I was most confident in turned out to be a lazy ass and it torpedoed everything. Was a nice side hustle for a year or so but it was too much of a pain in the ass to juggle with my full time job. Made some decent money but we ultimately sold the business.

Congrats! My wife is a fringe minority owner in the business she works for. Looks like they will be offloading some
assets this year so it will be the first chance for her to see any benefit from it. Lots of sweat equity for sure. Her
company is a small private business with no 401K so we will likely have to invest whatever she gets out of it for
retirement. Good for you Doug.
