Did they really say no blood draw? I heard no apparent impairment that cops said. That doesn’t rule out they drew in hospital and the hospital itself would certainly check his system before surgery.

"Open fractures (where the bone actually protrudes from the skin) affecting both the upper and lower portions of the tibia and fibula bones were stabilized by inserting a rod into the tibia," he added. "Additional injuries to the bones of the foot and ankle were stabilized with a combination of screws and pins. Trauma to the muscle and soft-tissue of the leg required surgical release of the covering of the muscles to relieve pressure due to swelling."
A statement on Woods' Twitter account said he was awake and responsive after a "long surgical procedure."

Tiger's days as a full/part time player are likely over. I'm sure he might be able to give it a go here and there (Masters, PNC Father Son, charity events, maybe a Champions tour event), but between the back and now the leg I don't see any way how a 45 year old guy recovers enough to be out there for 20+ tournaments a year.

He was speeding down a winding road known for accidents and running late. If he was texting or on the phone at all, that could have been an issue as well. So far, it doesn't look like anything more than just a random accident. I'm a little surprised TBH.


Hogan was nearly ten years younger than Tiger currently is, and didn't have the previous health issues that Tiger has gone through.
